What we have is none of that. What we have is what is described in the OP. We are printing money in a massive way due to it.

A massive, persistent trade gap creates a specific type of debt trap that forces the U.S. into a cycle of money creation and borrowing. That's where we are at.

Seems like a lot of trouble to use the em dash instead of a hyphen. Do you get tired of using the ALT+0151 combo all the time since it's not on a standard keyboard?
