Why does your ideal global exchange scenario require an imbalance of restriction and tariffs in favor of countries we seek to trade with?

Because you and I have zero control over other countries, we vote in this one.

If CHina wants to subsidize your purchases, they lose on every deal and you have been given the opportunity to create wealth.

If China wants to tariff US products, its their consumer who loses. Period.

The trare deficit will usually favor the least wealthy nations. If you want equal trade, you will need to devalue the dollar, which Trump has already supported.

The MAGA types who arent there yet, are headed that direction, no doubt.

They'll be very tempted to vote for AOC.

That is not accurate as we are seeing first hand.

In the short term yes. But after the collapse the manufacturing capability of the US and get us hooked on cheap shite then they have control and can raise prices at will.

Maybe in the short term. Your definition of “loses” is distorted by your personal bias of what it means to win/lose.

No, it is accurate.

China is hurting their own people, workers and consumers.

Now y'all want to copy China.

Trumps tariffs arent' reciprocal.
Why? Because you say it?
Definition of Reciprocal -- given, felt, or done in return.

They are tariffing and/or restricting our ability to sell our goods in their country. Now we are doing similar actions to them. We are restricting their ability to sell their goods in our very large market. Seems this fits all 3 given felt and done in return.

You’re not playing the same game.

You invited the painter into your home who said he’ll paint your house for $100 thinking “hah, ha if he wants to take a loss then great for me” when in actuality he was there to rape your wife and daughters and eat your dog.

Does reciprocal mean "given, felt, or done in return." or not? If it does, then why aren't the tariffs reciprocal? Every accusation you make is actually a confession.

Trump said the tariffs are in response to other countries’ tariffs which is a lie. You can ignore his own words if you want. He knew that would be more palatable for his base than saying it was in response to our trade deficit.

Real question: what the actual frick are we supposed to sell these countries? We don’t manufacture goods at the scale needed to level the playing field even if we wanted.

He has 4 years. He isn’t going to revitalize American manufacturing in his term. He will inflate the cost of living substantially, destroy american dominance and with it the dollar, and turn America into a rallying point for the rest of the world.

All he’s doing is tanking the economy so that some establishment democrat can come in and undo everything he’s done 4 years from now. He’s going to destroy whatever legacy he had with this move.

You’re the one under the delusion that other counties are subsiding their exports to us for our benefit.
