Could Musk be putting himself in financial jeopardy and being led to hang himself here?
Would Musk be liable for civil penalties if the DOJ said he was right that Twitter interfered in elections and now we fine Twitter $40 billion? I would hope that the purchase agreement addresses liability for past offenses but not sure how that would work.

Precisely why he’s being attacked. They want to use Twitter as a mouth-piece / modern day snopes / suppression of the common public voice.
