If we're serious about this Empire-thang and "grave threat to our Democracy!", let us once again renew the draft and multi-million man army, and storm the beaches of Iran! Our economy will benefit from re-tooling all our factories for the War Machine, so let's start rationing food and boogieing to Benny Goodman like back in 1942!

That’s fair and by far worse.
I’d guess the difference there is Irans shenanigans as a state sponsor of terror are very consistent, transparent, and proven (“Death to….!”).
SA is a little more debatable. It’s not their public stance. But there are dots there to be connected.
