My body my choice" is the cry from the left when it comes to murdering unborn children but when it comes to vaccines that rationale is quickly abandoned
How about we don’t give newborns a disease because we are confused about what ‘robustness’ means?
quote:
If their damn vaccines were so great then they wouldn't need to worry about who chooses to take that crap but you'll never get them to admit that
Nope. The fact of the matter is that the human immune system links the strongest person in a community to the weakest in about the most direct way possible. Think about that for a while before you start screeching again.

There are lots of potential reasons for the possible increased suicide risk, including the long-time it takes for SSRI’s to reach therapeutic doses. Are you gonna present a lecture for us on the data on that my man?
So you think SSRI's actually work and are a net positive for society?

bullshite, measles was already on the way out well prior to the vaccine.
No, it was not.

Where did I say that in that post? If you want my views on SSRI’s, just ask. Don’t do this gay fallacious bullshite.

About what I expected. Run along little dude.

Depends where you are. States have been asking to restrict these foods on this rationale.

I posted a variation of this in a different thread but I've updated it for this one:
My guy you are really ruining the vibe here... can't you see these folks just want to complain about vaccines without being reminded of their own intellectual dishonesty?
You gotta remember that these people are simple ranters. People of the land. The common clay of the Poli Board. You know... morons.

hat my operating base for everything in my life is self-reliance. That is filtered through an enormous distrust in people
Maybe stop being so paranoid?

May not be worth it for you, but worth effort-posting for others.
Measles deaths were already falling in the 1950s because hospitals got better at treating the complications, but the disease itself wasn’t going anywhere. Millions of kids still caught it every year, and schools shut down during outbreaks. The cliff-drop in cases only happened after the vaccine came out in 1963. That’s why your grandparents all had measles, but your kids don’t.
If Florida goes through with this, it'll be a nice way to give the anti-vax talking points a kick of the tires. Conventional epidemiology says if community immunity rates from vaccination drop, we should start to see more outbreaks and start to get more cases, school closings, hospitalizations, etc.

isn't unhealthy food restrictions on SNAP rationalized this way?
That's a poor attempt at a deflection. Nobody taking SNAP is forced to accept it.
If "public health" is enough to tell people what to do with their bodies, then why not food restrictions or exercise mandates?

Again, what is the difference between infectious disease and lifestyle choices?

Sane people will still get the needed vaccines that good doctors recommend.
It’s wild. We went from “I’m not anti vax, I’m anti covid jab” to DeSantis thinking this is a political winner.
Maybe all the anti covid vax people were, in fact, full of shite

The reaction to heavy handed covid mandates can't be a rejection of all vaccines. The covid vax mandates certainly did undermine faith in vaccinations and we've got way more skeptics than before. There was time when we clowned the Jenny McCarthy facebook mom's of the world for not vaccinating their kids against obvious risks.
You gotta walk a fine line of asking the right questions about necessity vs throwing a blanket rejection over all vaccines. Kids, especially younger school kids, are little shite boxes of germ spreading. Some of thst helps strengthen their immune systems.
Now With the problem of immigration, you get these hoards of people coming in who haven't been vaccinated against diseases, you get spikes of measles in South Texas. You don't want to run the risk of a large scale population that's not innoculated against illness like that.

When it comes to cost, which is the point he was attempting to make, nothing.

Nonsense. Or rather, poor decision-making by morons will lead to increased costs for everyone. I’m sure you think ending vaccine mandates is a good idea though.

No arguments here.

You're wrong, I think it's probably a bad idea. But I don't buy the "this will save health care money so it's ok to mandate" argument he was making.
