14K for new guts is a hell of alot better than 80k.

Most people don’t have 14k to buy a new engine. And banks don’t finance repairs like they do a new car.

Doesn’t change the fact that $80k for any car is ridiculous.

This isn’t new. Car makers have done this before. It’s a marketing gimmick.

I hope it is painful for GM and Ford. They have screwed the American consumer for far too long with their vastly overpriced shite boxes.

That X plan to ford employees is sweet. I got that on a couple of cars I bought. You get that price discount and the ford motor credit finance rate is so much better than the open market and I'm wondering what that rate is these days.

Plus 2000 destination fee. Plus 3000 rebates to dealer. Plus 2500 convenience charge. Order to get what you want and sign an intent to buy, but we wont sign anything guaranteeing your trade value stays the same when it gets here.

Had a paid off 2020 KR F150 out the door cost $53,300. Rode through my local lot one day and owner came out and said it would look good on his used lot. Said give me a trade value. Went next day, they looked at it and said $58,000. Ordered a ‘22 Lariat F250 that day for a price of $63,000. When it came in 3.5 months later, I had about 2,200 extra miles on my truck from the original day they appraised it, but still only around 9,400 total miles. Took F250 home to try it, came back to sign papers, and they were only giving me $47k on the trade. Told them either meet me halfway at 54-55k or they could keep it. They didnt budge, I walked out, they sold F250 two days later for $65k. They didn’t make me sign anything saying i had to buy it when it came in but I still loathe those c0ck biting SOBs.

I bought a new Bronco last year and I love it. Couldn't believe how cheap I got it for.

The manufacturer recommendations for oil replacement may be too long these days because of the proliferation of the turbocharger. So changing oil more frequently may help with turbo failure.

This is every engine, not just turbos.

A lot of the DoD and timing chain failures point to much higher incidences in vehicles following the "recommended service" versus changing the oil at 3-5k miles.

The dealer was 100% right. No one signs a contract 4 months out without a disclaimer on trade value as the market changes too quickly.

Dude I’m MAGA af. I’ve never voted for a Democrat in my life. But this is not a gloss for Trump. It’s 1000% a marketing ploy. Just lower your prices. Don’t call it an “employee discount.” Are you this stupid?

As a commuter, I prefer the low maintenance, durability, and gas mileage of my Honda Accord. It’s a 2013 and still going strong. Plus, it’s the best type of car: the paid off kind ??
