Which also would not require him resigning from his house senate today. He can be appointed to the Senate and resign at that time.

First, this investigation isn’t why Gaetz was a bad choice. I don’t care about whatever this committee report says.
Second, not having Republicans in seats is not good for the House when the new Congress convenes and elects a speaker. We’re going to have a two seat majority, at most.

But the senate seat has nothing to do with resigning from the house, except for after the appointment. That doesn’t make any sense.

But a house seat needs filled and a special election cannot be called if Geatz is still seated. I’m sure something is being done behind the scenes even if it was a head fake
