Yeah, after reading the first hand account from the Fox reporters this guy is done.
He needs to be

I looked at the MT statutes briefly. Misdemeanor assault was the correct charge. Felony would have been a huge stretch.

I am amused. I freely admit it. More douchey hipster reporters getting body slammed wouldn't be the worst thing to ever happen in the world.
Count me in on this. I'd like to see reporters develop a bit of respect for the people they desire to question rather than using these ambush tactics.
We need a lot more congressmen who will just stop putting up with blatant disrespect and violations of personal space.
If I could, I'd drive to Montana tonight just to vote for Gianforte.

Who wouldn't like punching a hipster douche? But what if that douche was you?
Haha, that's true.
Gianforte just made this annoying douche a martyr, and will probably pay for this shite in multiple ways. Fortunately for him he is worth tens or hundreds of millions, unlike most of the posters here. only a few of us have that kind of money

He's a fricking public figure. Dealing with the press is part of the game. You guys are delusional.

Being a public figure does not negate the fact that he is a human being deserving of respect. Being a 'reporter' for some rag doesn't give one the right to override the 'public figure' in his rights.
If more of them got there noses busted when they ambushed their political opponents maybe they'd back off a few feet and ask polite question.
You never ever see a DEM politician get ambushed and pushed around.
These creeps are just another element of the DEM machine - If they were even close to being consistent with their treatment of the two political parties it would be a little different. If there was a 'journalistic' effort that treated DEM politicians like they do GOP, they'd end up with busted knee-caps or have their pets killed and planted on their doorsteps. DEM thugs don't play nice, but they do keep their overseer's hands clean.

If this guy reacts like this to a question about the CBO score, he's going to end up killing a reporter on the Hill.
I'd consider that a reason to vote for him.

Many will condone the beat down in public, but still pull the lever for Gianforte when privately in the voting booth.
Posted on 5/25/17 at 6:46 am to weptiger
How have there been no pictures posted of his bruises, marks, etc?

Bill O'Reilly had a reoccurring segment for years and years that did just that. Other Fox shows have employed the same tactics as well.

Wow. Disappointing take from you. It's not ok to body slam reporters.

It's not ok to body slam reporters.
So given the fact we know exactly as much in this instance as we did when Cory Lewandowski was falsely accused, given the fact we know this "reporter" holds so much animus for conservatives that he wanted to punch a 16y/o in the mouth, and given the fact the fellow has already lied about not being anywhere near Gianforte to provoke the incident, perhaps it is not okay to jump to conclusions.
