Been kicked out of the Cajun Navy.

Lot of boating accidents on here lately. You guys must really suck at boating.

They really shouldn't let us conservatives have boating licenses.

Fortunately, I had no actual accident. Just me and some buds were sitting on this when a wakeboarding boat flew by and dumped us all over. Wouldn't have been a big deal, but we had chosen that time to have ALL of our guns out cleaning them. Tragic. 60 feet of water.

Disagree, and what needs to be said is that you can kill more people with one shot from a pump 12guage with buckshot and an improved cylinder choke and also take the plug out which gives you 5 total shells to shoot. You never hear anyone on tv talk about a shotgun. That is what I use for home self defense both my wife and I

I'm layered. Have both rifles and handguns. Self defensive duties fall more towards my AR15 and AK 102. I do keep my HK VP9 handy

Another poster said a shot gun is better. Why do you think it's not?

Depends on where I'm going/what environment I am in, etc....

My wife and I own the following:

Smith & Wesson M&P 9mm
Smith & Wesson M&P 9mm compact
Classic older Dan Wesson .357 Magnum with a 6" barrel (don't have the other size barrels, just the 6")
Ruger 10/22
Remington (circa 1982, before they turned to shite) 700 BDL in 30.06
Colt LE 6920 AR-15 with 4 30 round clips
Smith & Wesson Bodyguard snub nose in .38 Special +P
Remington 1100 12 guage

That's all I'm willing to list on here.

There are different schools of thought on this issue. Not gonna get into it here....

All snark and pith aside, if you want a couple of excellent discussions on this, and if you keep it technical and not political, there are a lot of knowledgeable and smart people on the Outdoor Board that can give good arguments for each. Actually, I think within the last few months there have been threads discussing this on that board. I would caution though, just keep it on topic and try not to pollute that board with emotional or political arguments either way....

I have a samurai sword. Waiting for the day when liberals say it is too dangerous and I am only allowed to own one of these.
