holy shite how did this turn into a les miles offense thread

Just trying to give people some idea of how much of a self-proclaimed "legend in his own mind" know-it-all this phony is.

SFP should write a book; "How to hoodwink 75% of the members of an anonymous message board by flooding it with 400 thousand mostly inane comments."

Here in Texas, under shelter in place, the republicans hold every single state office, have a majority of the legislature and judges. Three-fourths of our federal govt. branches (splitting congress in two) are run by republicans or their appointments.

Blaming this all on the "libs" has been comical and typical gold-medal gymnastics in the trump cheerleading corners of the internet like this one.

There’s simply no way to know that.

You can’t be that obtuse. You take measures to blunt the spread. The spread is blunted, and you want to dispute the measures are the reason?

Ffs. This board is losing its damn mind.

do you think that the rejection of reopening will be seen more on the left or the right?

Our hospitals are less crowded than usual

The hospitals are furloughing half their staff and closing permanently in some areas. Let's just open back up and whatever happens we'll just deal with it. I'm becoming convinced this is the biggest overreaction in history.

I disagree with the premise of the OP’s meme, but the meme is an effective way of presenting it ... for those with an IQ over 85.

As for the remainder, they will say “the Left cannot meme” because it presents too much info.

even if we committed mass suicide, the virus would still spread to animals (i mean that's how it got to humans in the first place)

so i'll edit. it is possible, if we use all of our nukes to cover every square inch of the US

That’s why I hate this image which is making the rounds on face book. It’s a complete misrepresentation of what flattening the curve is and implies that the virus is beat while also trying to imply that they the poster are much smarter in the ways of science than the peons who don’t get it

This is flattening the curve

I've had friends that are flipping out at the protests. While I personally don't think it's the time to protest, I also have a job that still pays me full pay, and I'm one of the "high risk" people, so I don't really fault the protesters.

I've also been saying, people are in for a rude awakening. The average joe thinks we're literally starving the virus of victims or some shite, and once everything opens up we'll all be a-ok.

Yep. As with almost everything the truth lies somewhere in the middle of the extremes of “we are gonna die if we go back to work “ vs the virus is a hoax of many on this board. Shutdown did help slow things imo at the same time it’s not going to eliminate it and this can’t be life until a vaccine particularly in rural areas that aren’t getting swamped
