Academy had m&p 9s for under 350. Sometimes with a rebate

M&P EZ in 9MM. Might be hard to find hollow points to carry. Damn hoarders

I have a Glock 26 for concealed carry and love it. Very small, holds 10+1. 1.5 lbs. total with fully loaded magazine. If you have small hands the stock grip might work well for you. Personally, I have a grip extension.

Glock 43 or a Springfield xds
Good choices. But I would remove the Glock (you aren’t gaining any capacity over a revolver) and add the sig p365 and m&p shield in 9mm to that short list and then go hold/shoot ‘em and pick your favorite.
Just don’t bother with the geniuses telling you to look at a Glock 19. You’ll struggle with the grip and you’re less likely to carry it with how much harder it would be for you to conceal.

Not following why your Ruger revolver isn’t a viable self-defense option.

Or Sig P238. It would be easier to rack the slide than the 938.
Both are smooth as satin. The 938 is my primary carry pistol.

It is if I’m dealing with one or two people.
If I find myself in a mob situation ... I’m not so sure.

As a former gun salesman I would say just find the one that you are more comfortable with. There are a lot of good recommendations in this thread because everyone likes their
own guns which is best for them but maybe not for you. I’m a Springfield Armory person and someone mentioned the Springfield SDS which is one you might want to check out in the 9mm . It’s easy to load with multiple safeties built in.

Excellent advice.
I’m going to show this thread to my firearms shop when I go.
Some outstanding info.

It would be interesting to learn what you finally decided on.

Gotcha.
In that case, consider a Bersa Thunder .380 with an extended mag or a Ruger SR45.

Ruger LC9S is small enough for you and an easy slide to operate.

Yep. Why would anyone have a revolver if they could have a semi?
