Time will tell - but I am paying closer attention to what he does next. Not ready to dump him completely like I did with McCain and Romney.

Cruz made a political decision by making that statement thinking it would save him headaches going forward. It was purely political and a bad call. I don’t like this look on him at all.

I thought he’d know this as well as anyone, but apparently he doesn’t: there’s no playing nice with these people. They’re sure as hell not gonna thank you for it, and all you do is piss off your base. Then nobody likes you.

No. Just an unforced error.

The ideas are larger than all individuals. If they are representing your ideas than support them. When they are no longer supporting the ideas then don’t. No hero worship.

Baffling how y'all can contort yourself into pretzels to try to defend the indefensible -- Trump's deranged, misinformed, racist followers, angry that the election was stolen- not because of a shred of evidence mind you but because their cult leader said it was because he's a poor loser, -- attacked policemen, destroyed property, and stormed the capitol to disrupt the democratic process and overturn the election- a coup!!!! Seriously, if Trump was being inaugurated and that had happened, it would have been just as indefensible and abhorrent to any thoughtful, caring patriot. Dick Cheney said it himself- he doesn't recognize what his party has become. Sad that y'all are choosing to continue supporting what was a huge black eye and terrible day in our history.

Well, he won a lot of liberals and moderates with his first speach. Sounds like he gained any he lost with his backtrack. Looks like he grew his voter base substantially today and all he had to do was politician. He can lawyer back home we need someone to take the Senate job seriously and it ain't Ted. He lied today to somebody.

Don't worry so much about what others are doing. Much more important things to get sad about. Like this administration.

I’m baffled that y’all still watch FNC instead of Newsmax and OAN.

frick the Tuck. frick Foxnews. And frick Ted Cruz. After all, he fricked himself with his stupid comments.

I don't watch Fox. Im tempted though after seeing Ted went down in flames. They are all revealing themselves to be corrupt which is good and sad. Sad because its turning out to be near every one of them. My attention is on senator Kennedy now.

Ted Cruz has been an articulate champion of conservatism over the years.

But he has also been soft as baby shite when the going gets tough. Trump intimidated him and beat him like a rented mule. That idiot beto almost beat him.

2012 - won against a weak candidate with 56.4%

2018 - barely beat Robert O'Rourke (50.9%)

2024 is a long way off but I dont think he has a chance. Hopefully he will get primaried out (or bow out and decide not to run, that would be the graceful thing to do).

We really need a young firebrand to fight for Texas.

As I said in the other thread....

What pissed me off just as much was his worship of the cops. They were the violent terrorists entrapping people, bottlenecking Trump supporters into tunnels to beat them, redirecting the ones in a small group or alone down streets to lead them into Antifa/BLM’s den of wolves who attack in packs bc they’re typical Democrat pussies.

Heroes?? Wtf! Has he not been paying to attn to the fact that Trump supporters who attended have been the ones abused for over year?

This is rich. Trumpers are anti-police now. Bottlenecking? You mean the crowd was pushing other members of the crowd into the police?

And I see you’re from Watson. Another example of why I never want to live in Livingston parish ever again.

What’s baffling is how you can be so stupid to think this was Trump supporter when it’s common knowledge that Dems charted busses of paid antagonists to be actors dressed as MAGA supporters and playing a short role to get footage for the deep state to play on a continuous loop as every media outlet and Dem parroted as an insurrection.

What's baffling to me is how you're acting like "your side" couldn't possibly be the baddies, but in that other thread you're talking about "eliminating" people.

You're a psycho.

I agree not buying Cruz for 10 years referred to police assaults to be terrorists.

So, to overcome this conundrum for Cruz, just compile tape for the last 10 years to prove it. Put together a montage. If I don’t see it, not true.

It makes no sense.
Ted said it was a terrorist attack on the capital, not a terrorist attack on the police.

At least I’m not a disingenuous hypocrite. I have history of being consistent and have caught hell here and with many family/friends for being suspect of LE. I’ve never been one of the conservative who blindly back the blue.

I hate big brother and don’t trust the gov... and am smart enough to know that LE is the long arm of the law for big brother. I know they’ll violate the fk out of citizens to protect that pension.

And thank you.... you’re not wanted in Watson as much as you’re not wanted in America.

BS.... that’s not all he said. He said it was a violent terrorist attack on the capital and stated numerous times that he said terrorists bc of these heroes were being attacked.

The only violent people were the actors and the cops.
