Religiously, we have pushed away God.
As long as there are no consequences for actions, individual self-interests outweigh the majority, people rely on social media for truth without critical thinking, and we remain a Godless nation of greed and self-indulgence, it will always be like this.
ONLY through God's grace and intervention can we be saved. I don't mean that as hyperbole. It's the only way that it can or will ever change for the better.

Fun fact: the guy who got beaten and carjacked by the Boston Bombers was driving a BMW with a coexist bumper sticker. They coexisted the schitt out of him.
