Prices may never come down. However, once all the grift and corruption is corrected and we no longer send billions out of the country, you will have more money to spend thereby negating the destruction of the last 40 years of Democrat/Rhino policies.

The question was...why did Trump say that and why are folks not going to blame him when it doesn't happen. I think we have had low prices due to unfair trade and this benefited the consumer and hurt manufactures. So, its a good thing to have prices at a level that sustain those who make/produce. But if this means higher prices, Trump supporters are going to have to reckon with the left using Trumps words against him.

Like overnight? Things can accelerate overnight but coming down is always harder. You have a chain of factors that came along with the inflated prices that need reduction across the whole chain. If you sold widgets you couldn’t possibly sell cheaper without having your suppliers reducing their prices as you would be broke

"Now, obviously we're not going to be able to accomplish all this at once. The American people are patient. I think they realize that the wrongs done over several decades cannot be corrected instantly. You know, I had the pleasure in appearing before a Senate committee once while I was still Governor, and I was challenged because there was a Republican President in the White House who'd been there for several months -- why we hadn't then corrected everything that had been done. And the only way I could think to answer him is I told him about a ranch many years ago that Nancy and I acquired. It had a barn with eight stalls in it in which they had kept cattle, and we wanted to keep horses. And I was in there day after day with a pick and a shovel, lowering the level (of shite) of those stalls, which had accumulated over the years. And I told this Senator who'd asked that question that I discovered that you did not undo in weeks or months what it had taken some 15 years to accumulate."

There will be some decrease broadly mainly due to energy/transportation costs.
But in the end, wages have to catch up. For prices to "come back down" means deflation which can be worse than inflation in many aspects.
So for wages to catch up to make quality of life for Americans better many things have to happen. But here are a couple that will stall or block that:
- energy costs have to be as cheap as possible
- productivity of the legal or American labor pool has to increase
- cheap illegal labor has to be drastically reduced
- automation has to be tied to training (energy costs have to come down)
- skilled labor jobs must increase (including training for automation)
- commodities must, to the most extent possible, be either locally sourced or traded for at maximum benefit (e.g. rare earth)

Here we go...another dumbass that thinks a president can simply snap his fingers and prices nationwide will go down. It doesn't work like that moron.
Where was all the outrage for the last 4 years when prices were steady climbing? Oh, that's right...the outrage showed up at the polls on November 5th, 2024. I like to call it the end of an error!

Are you talking about the eggs that have been affected by the avian bird flu that happened during the Biden administration? I was grocery shopping yesterday and almost everything was less expensive than just six months ago. Pull your head out of your arse.

You really though prices would come down in 2 weeks? You're actually retarded.
That's not the issue. I think people thought prices would stay stable and eventually start coming down NOT start going up. I know this hurts the feelings of the Trump sycophants on here so downvote away with your fragile feelings.

You can't rationalize with cult members. Trump can do no wrong. He is their god.

let me help you understand something jethro if you're struggling with paying 4 dollars for a dozen eggs rather than 2 dollars and that extra 2 dollars can make or break you than that's a "you" problem not a "we" problem.

What is going up, specifically?
2) So if in a month prices go down, will praise Trump? The answer is no. You’ll find something else to bitch about that will eventually be proven wrong.
Trump is doing what we’ve always wanted, auditing the Fed and removing waste. And you’re still seething from the election. Why?

Trump grabbed poor Ron by the pussy is the logical explanation

I believe things will get worse before they get better…. When your over your head in debt, it’s not fixed over night.

Prices on goods almost never come down. The most realistic expectation is to reduce inflation to 2% or under and grow the economy and wages where you can afford the new price levels
Tariffs and deporting illegals should long term bring back domestic jobs and create higher wage growth for Americans since illegals will no longer be depressing wages for working class families

Name a single plan trump laid down that would decrease prices?
Increased immigration enforcement- more spending and less labor .....inflationary...
Tarrifs- simply another form of taxation. Inflationary..
