I ain't got anything for either side and I disagree that Republicans are paying all the freight. Just happens that the drain on a lot of stuff are Democrats: blacks, poor whites.........
Like a congressman (R) told me once when a measure was up to cut food stamps, he never got a call from anyone on food stamps but his phone rang off the hook from big time farmers, grocery store owners (big chain especially), food manufacturers, and the fat cats who make the profit off the food stamp program.
Don't think some of us Democrats (who happen to vote R most of the time) don't pay our fair share.
I wish they'd do away with parties anyway and everyone run at one time, independently, and the best man, or woman, win.

And people read the news...common sense became racist, homophobic, sexist, etc.
People don't like being attacked when they're just acting like normal people.
