Lol. No, it’s not.
They kicked all of the ministries off campus a couple years back if they advertised as “affirming.” The student body voted for Trump at probably a 4 to 1 clip.
There’s fewer than 10% of the students who are African American. If they’re using DEI admission practices, it’s not working.
Cool article, I guess.

Most small public colleges in Arkansas, Alabama, Oklahoma, Texas, Tennessee, etc., are pretty respectful of traditional values
Minus the outliers and exceptions that prove the rule

I don’t think people realize how radicalized even schools in the deep south like Alabama are. I had professors back in the 90s who were as far left as anything today. They poison these kids and have to be stopped.

Im trying to talk my older daughter into TCU or SMU. She's in 7th grade.
Not just because of the school, we have family in Dallas.

Was it hard on him? Was he open about being pressured or dealing with the relentless slant?

Except that it is.
It’s not mere admissions policies. They teach social justice as Biblical justice and perpetuate the entire systemic racism propaganda in policy, courses, and events.
Samford is a cesspool of DEI and woke bullshite.
I know it must suck knowing that’s partly what your money goes to support, but them’s the facts.

I’m going to guess you’ve never been around an actual cesspool of DEI and woke bullshite.

With the political climate at these college campuses, is anyone else now strongly considering sending their children to a Christian university like liberty or something similar? I have a child in 8th grade that is more religious than I am, and the more I think about it, the more I want her to stay that way. With the way colleges are warping minds these days…………anyone else?
I'll be honest.
If it's a daughter and she wants to go for teaching or a soft science.
Send her to a Christian College.
If it's a son and he wants to go into STEM, specifically Math, Chem, Engineering, Physics, Comp Sci.
Send him to county first then the best school he can get into.
County STEM teachers are all right wing bros in my experience, the mentor the kids and it's a good place for males to find their feet.
Even at 4 year schools they are going to be right leaning, but by then your son should have a good idea about life and plenty of in field male role models by the time he transfers.
If you have tons of money send them to a Christian college.

MS College is an exceptional campus. Had one graduate from there and another going there now. Can’t recommend it strongly enough. Excellent education and a very Christ centered faculty. It is truly a special place.
The tuition is a value for a private university and is the same for in state or out of state, with the kid’s scholarships we didn’t pay much more than what LSU would have been.

Daughter attends Christian high school. Strongly considering Mississippi College. Going for tour this month. She has already toured it, we haven't.

My daughter graduates next May. She’s been a heavy lean to Arkansas, but considering Ole Miss, TCU and some other schools. Just rececently, I’ve been pushing her to my Alma mater, Ouachita Baptist University. It still has a strong Christian influence and the quality of kids that attend OBU are as good now as they were in the late ‘80’s and early 90’s, if not better. She’s going premed, OBU is know ahead of UofA in that discipline.
I would not worry as much for her if she ended up at OBU. It’s a good one.

Just from what I’ve heard:
1. TCU is not a Christ focused school.
2. SMU is a party school for rich kids.
(It is possible that I am wrong. I’ve only known 2 people who went to each school)
Abilene Christian might be worth a look.
Several state schools like Auburn have very active campus ministries.

Have a look at Baylor, especially if your kid wants to go pre-med.
On our recruiting visit, the first 2 things they said were:
1. "We are unapologetically Christian", and
2. "80% of our pre-med students get into medical school."
They did not lie. However, the second statement has a catch - if you don't make the grades in the first semester, they "invite" you to select another major. The students call it "Business by Christmas."
My daughter got involved in the Catholic student organization, very TradCath. And she did get into med school (subtle brag, but I'm a proud dad.)

No, you’re not. Or you wouldn’t have identified Samford as a hotbed of it.
