Gun Rights is the most important issue to me by miles.
For your analogy it would be like a wife disagreeing on adultery. Deal breaker.

What if the disagreement is over her banging the pool boy?
Everybody has different priorities, and guns are up there for a lot of people. He didn't win by huge margins, and I don't think he'll gain any voters by passing gun control. He'll absolutely lose some; they just won't vote.

So what if your wife said thought Trump was being reasonable? That we needed Gun Control? Would you divorce her? What with it being so important and all...

We can respectfully disagree on bump stocks and as I said I completely understand all who wish to give no ground because liberals do want all guns taken as an endgame.

So you will cast a worthless vote then? Interesting

Well shite, this changes everything. Now I want to vote for one of the Democrat presidential candidates.

I didn’t ask about bump stocks. I asked for your opinion on shoe strings and belt loops.
Bump stocks are stupid. They’re such a niche product a ban on them is useless, especially seeing as you can get the same exact effect with....:: shoe strings and belt loops....

Is there anything Trump could do to lose your vote? If so that is what gun rights are to me.

I'm capable of thinking for myself and understanding I won't always agree with everything my candidate says.
I also understand that supporting a certain candidate doesn't mean I agree with and support every position he takes.
These, I'm sure, are foreign concepts to you.

My vote is mine alone and my reasons are what are most important to me.
No support for gun control ever.

Not really. Just cause you sky screamers think he might do something isnt good enough for me

You probably won't answer this simple question but: "Do the comprehensive gun control measures Trump supported (and encouraged) benefit "we the people" or the globalist agenda?"

Okay, point taken. You would rather someone way worse to get in and do even more damage in that regards. Got it.

That's basically how they feel too. Trump is pushing republicans left and they don't even realize it.
I do wonder why he is so anti-regulation of business and seemingly pro-regulation of individuals. I think his approach is arse backwards tbh.

Let me ask you the same question: Is there anything that Trump could do to cause you not to vote for him? Because that is what gun rights are to me.
And if your answer is no, it might be time to pause and re-evaluate
Guns are my red line in the sand.
The let’s bring it to a head and settle it, instead of incrementally turning up the water temperature until we gun owners are boiling.

You're the guy who entered the Q thread basically pretending to be a moderate who "only wants to see justice done." Only, your "unbiased" view of justice was 1) Trump should be charged with obstruction even though Mueller had just cleared him of the charge of conspiracy (collusion), and 2) Regarding Spygate, you said "Oh, Obama is much too smart to get caught up in that."
I have one word for you, bro. HONESTY. Try it sometime.

As predicted.. you ignored a very simple question. I know you're trying your little heart out and I appreciate the effort
Still want to see justice done
Cognitive dissonance is uncomfortable and I'm not blaming you for acting this way. It's very natural.

Here's the counter argument to that: If you keep rewarding politicians for taking a certain action, what will the next set of politicians do?
We kept voting for GOP establishment types and look what it got us. More spending, more government. When people had enough of their lies and BS they voted for Trump, not even expecting him to win for the most part. They were just sick of the BS and wanted to send a message, similar to the Tea Party.
Now it worked out and I'm glad it did, but it may not have. I'm not saying I even agree with this particular single-issue position, but it's not illogical. If you keep rewarding a behavior, whether it's gun control or big government, you're guaranteed to get more of it.
