My problem is the liberals trying to tie everything to Trump, when an investigation has been going on for almost a year with nothing. Absolutely......nothing.

Nothing has been made public, but neither you nor I know what they may or may not have found. There is still an open investigation.

So we ignore the completely true e-mails while weaving the narrative that Trump was behind it?

Well, I've never said Trump was behind it. I have said the Russians were interested in damaging Hillary to the benefit of Trump.

I didn't vote in the Democratic primary. I voted for Kasich in the Republican primary. I voted for Hilary in the general, then had to go home and take a shower. No, I wasn't upset the DNC favored Hillary. It didn't surprise me in the least, and frankly I think Republicans made a bigger deal of it than it was.

Diane Feinstein said that there was no evidence of collusion just a few weeks ago.

Are you serious? Bernie Sanders are the dumbest of all.

A) They believed Bernie's lies about caring about the little guy

B) They completely folded and never uttered a peep in protest when the DNC cheated to make sure Hillary was the nominee. Include Bernie in this one

C) They were too stupid to figure out that in many many many respects Trump was closer to Bernie than Hillary was in terms of political beliefs.

Bernie supporters are so dumb that Hillary supporters could legitimately look at them and say "you're stupid"

That she has seen. Y'all keep leaving that caveat off when you quote her and others.

But then I do a Google search of "Diane Feinstein No Evidence Collusion" and every right wing site has a link leaving it off as well.

ETA: Actually Feinstein said "not at this time," when asked if there was evidence of collusion.

I know the following.

1)The greatest intelligence network on the planet was looking directly at this issue for nearly a year BEFORE Trump became President.

2)The prior administration was exceedingly comfortable unmasking.

3)Obama let Trump become President without saying shite.

Hence. I know to as high a degree of a certainty as a person of the publican can know that

Prior to January 20th, they didn't have jack shite on Trump.

Which means.

Trump, who everyone believes to be a complete political idiot, managed to evade the greatest intelligence network on the planet BUT..........not so well that half of fricking D.C. doesn't have a "source" that can "leak" information implying connection.

In other words. Trump is the most brilliant fricker of our time.

Or. It's all bull shite.

She is the ranking Democrat on the Select Committee on Intelligence. Are you saying that Comey illegally withheld evidence from the oversight committee during his closed door testimony? If evidence existed, Feinstein and Grassley would have seen it. It doesn't exist.

That's a distinction without difference and you know it.

Do yall just not understand how criminal investigations work or what? The procedure is you don't start an investigation without some evidence to suggest a crime was committed. So , if we take Feinstein at her word that ZERO evidence has been found connecting Trump or his campaign to Russian collusion than why the frick are talking about an investigation??

What if I accused you of murder and the police looked into it and said "no evidence that The Spleen committed murder" But pressed forward anyway because I insisted that what they really said was "no evidence yet?" Do you not see that.

I did this for a living for 25 years, and I'm telling you people make all sorts of accusations, but you definitely do not want the police at any level just destroying a person's life and reputation over an investigation that it is not warranted based on the facts available. Do you disagree with that?

How exactly did Russians influence election

quote:

What exactly did Russians do to stop me from pushing button for HRC.

Russians didn't literally stop anyone from voting to my knowledge, but I'm sure they did try to influence the people voting in the election, and probably used the circumstances to have an impact on the thoughts and opinions of the general population. It's not hard to imagine that the government of Russia would have a deep interest in influencing American opinion. It's a low risk operation, and probably relatively cheap. Soviet Russia does have a history of complex Psyops and subversion ops in the US. That didn't crumble when the USSR did.

I do find it funny that many leftists deflected the accusation that Russia had commie influence agents in the US during their USSR era, yet now they can't stop talking about their ops in 2016. Sure, it might be that Russia's activities now hurt them politically, but it makes me wonder how communist influence didn't hurt them as bad, if at all, before.

quote:

Active measures (Russian: ???????? ???????????) is a Soviet term for the actions of political warfare conducted by the Soviet and Russian security services (Cheka, OGPU, NKVD, KGB, FSB) to influence the course of world events, in addition to collecting intelligence and producing "politically correct" assessment of it.[1] Active measures ranged "from media manipulations to special actions involving various degrees of violence". They were used both abroad and domestically. They included disinformation, propaganda, counterfeiting official documents, assassinations, and political repression, such as penetration into churches, and persecution of political dissidents.[1]

Active Measures

It's true that Russia does these things, and it's true that pretty much all the other major players do as well. When the emails first came out, I pretty much knew that Russia would be the goat, in part because a narrative shift was desperately needed, but also because there is such a rich history of Russian ops on US soil. Oddly, there hasn't been such a big push to highlight that...

I know exactly what she said. As of two weeks ago there was no evidence of collusion. She did not say "not hat I have seen". She said "at this time".

Your desire for some sort of evidence doesn't change the fact that as of a few weeks ago (10 months into the investigation) there was no evidence.

The Russians never hoped to coerce a sitting US president into actually doing their bidding. They do want to hamstring their adversaries politically at home, whenever posible, so that they will be less effective internationally. In this case they intended to weaken HRC's presidency, not trying to flip an informant.

Anyone else find it amusing that Hillary Clinton is blaming the Russians for an information security failure?

Not really. Clinton's server seems to be the only one that wasn't hacked.
