My state rep lives 5 doors down. Her predecessor always took phone calls. I’ve met my US rep 4 or 5 times - not fundraisers. I used to call my Senators back when I thought it might make a difference.

My local officials are far to the right of Joe McCarthy. Compared to them I'm a communist. So, I'm not going to bother them. They're doing a great job.
