Trump gave birth to Charlie Kirk. No Trump no Kirk. The two are totally different people with different ways of gearing things done. Trump was basically saying Charlie is a better man than me. Trump is the warrior. Trump has to fight with his strong suit, You show me a man that wouldn’t despise his enemies for what all they have done to destroy him.

Both men are great for our country and too criticize Trump for being who is is lacks understanding of the situation we are in.

POTUS Trump used symbolism to speak loud and clear.

Agreed.

Once he started going off on tariffs and major upcoming Dept of Health announcements on autism, I was silently pleading for Susie Wiles to give him the “wrap it up” signal.

Not the time or place.

Trump has many shortcomings, at this point he is who he is. He kicked the door down for us all, so misplaced speeches are just a part of it all.

hmm - now that's a new one

There has never been (certainly not in my lifetime) a more straightforward person to run for POTUS - now some of his personal stuff is hard to stomach - but I haven't been lied about for over 10 years - I haven't been shot in the ear with a high powered rifle - I haven't been dragged into multimillion dollar bullshite lawsuits - I haven't been arrested on bullshite charges - I haven't had 1000s of 'journalists' following me around writing lies about me - I haven't had elections stolen from me - I haven't had wiretaps on my phones - I haven't had most of my friends charged with felonies

Just any 2 or 3 of those things might make me a little testy.

I told my wife that ironically Charlie may be the only person who would have really appreciated it. It was an odd ending generally to a truly amazing memorial. They needed an MC and a closing song, prayer, benediction.

But whatever. Trump is Trump. And receiving and giving hugs and kisses from/to the most powerful person in the world … who cares about the rest (I mean the rest of Trump’s appearance).

Kirk started Turning Point USA in 2012 when obama was president, long before Trump started toying with the idea of being president, as much as you love Trump you can't give trump credit for Kirk

Some people can’t handle strong leadership. You happen to be one of those people.

Sure I don't doubt that , I think Charlie Kirk would say the same but Trump didn't give birth to Kirks movement in fact Kirk was more committed to the gospel truth than political truth and the gospel is not Trump's expertise

Certainly you wouldn't argue against that

I posted in another thread forgiveness is the hardest thing for a human to do.

Maybe Trump's sacrifice is forgoing forgiveness and taking the fight to the enemy, which is pure evil. Catholic doctrine of Just War?

Do you think TPUSA would have been what it is trust with Jeb Bush as the 2016 Republican nominee?

I don't know the answer to that, neither do you
God was a bigger part of this than either you or I so I think your opinion and my opinion matter less than what actually happened

why are any of you trying to argue this? Kirk started Turning Point USA in 2012 that is a fact. Trump didn't start his campaign until 2015, three years after

I haven't said anything insulting about Trump at all

Charlie's hero was Rush Limbaugh. Rush Limbaugh benefited from 8 years of Clinton, he had something to argue against the light is all the more noticeable because of the darkness

Charlie Kirk had Obama and Biden to argue against, which gave his mission credibility and a purpose

I was just curious. I have no doubt God set everything in motion.

Neither opinion matters at all. But isn’t the purpose of this message board to discuss opinions?

Fair point I've always been one on this board, Willing to engage in dialoge so would Jeb Bush have made a difference then Charlie Kirk's ministry

Well Jeb already had an existing relationship with the Religious right political movement, so good chance that Kirk would not have had the vacuum or the space to operate his effort had it been Bush as opposed to Trump. Then again Rand Paul might have actually given more fuel to Turning Point USA than Trump did because of the Libertarian appeal to youth

All of its pur speculation what happened happened and Kirk did start turning point USA three years before Trump even thought about running for president

dialogue or debate ought to have an agreement on facts otherwise, it's just farting in the wind
So the idea that people would be giving Trump credit for Kirk is a bit of a non starter don't you agree

Perhaps you should apply for a job at CNN or MSNBC for your ability to critique a speech. The fact that you started a thread today of all times speaks volumes.
