They were actually a Christmas gift but the giver didn’t have to pay. The passes were provided to her free of charge due to where she works.
I wasn’t confirmed until today as far as being able to go.

I'll be honest...
While that would be awesome to witness I'd be too wary of being in the middle of a huge crowd at that specific event. The odds are just too damn high of some crazy stuff happening given the current state of the nation and politics.
If I was by myself, maybe. With my family is a hell no.
I do wish you the best and hope my wary instincts are wrong

Believe me, I get it. I’m a little bit wary myself and I plan to be as vigilant as I possibly can. I do believe also that they’re going to have security at its highest possible level. I’m not too concerned about terrorism, domestic or international, and while there may well be some fed assets that would like to do something, they’ll be far outnumbered by security personnel that are serious about keeping the peace.

Pardon my ignorance, but you have to purchase tickets for Inauguration Day? Or is this just for a “special section” with seats or something? I imagine anyone can just show up and watch, right?
