The biggest point of that tweet is that Massie gave Biden a free 2-year ride on the debt ceiling issue and dumped it into Trump's lap and now suddenly he wants to stand on principles against the CR

It wasn't Massie's vote on the CR, it was in the rules committee where they were making rules governing the passage. It was 7-6 and his vote got that through committee. His reasoning was that the bill / CR mandated that a proper budget get passed or a 1% mandatory spending cut was initiated. The part that Massie was wrong about was the 1% - due to covid spending, 1% cuts would still be a dramatic increase over pre-covid spending, and Rand Paul wanted steeper automatic cuts, like 5%. Rand had the better idea on this one, but as usual in DC, none of this ever comes to pass and they just make new rules or vote to wave rules and there is never any discipline or reigning in of spending.

Y’all are a weird bunch. You hate one man so much you end up worshipping another man.
Who do I hate?
I believe in holding elected officials accountable no matter who they are. Most on here don’t.

We don't and that's why Massie needs to be more pragmatic. He dies on every hill and that's why he is ineffective as a leader

I’m MAGA as hell. Would take more Massie’s over Miss Lindsey’s any day.

Are you sure about that?
Yes.

No. Massie doesn’t grandstand at all. In fact, he tries to avoid the spotlight. He ends up in the spotlight because he’s the only one that stands by his principles. The only fricking one.

Guessing you don’t follow him on X. He sprints to lay out how principled he is.

frick Massie. The Republicans barely have a majority. This is the first chance for real change in my lifetime and this a-hole Massie wants to be the center of attention saying no. He’s not a man of principle. He’s an a-hole who apparently enjoys losing.

Trump is a team player. He wants to win. He wants the country to win.
Massie is an a-hole who only cares about himself. He’d rather feel vindicated and lose.

If we can’t cut spending now, then we never will. And those who vote on the issue will stop voting.

Mitch turned into a bitch the last year but he is the reason we have a conservative majority on the Supreme Court.
McCarthy and Johnson both were and are effective Speakers. Either one is more effective than Massie who has never done jack shite.

This board is so fricking bipolar. People bitch and moan and complain that Conservatives don’t do anything to stop the waste, corruption, and shite that goes on, but when one of them does and stands for Conservative policies and principles, they shite all over them.
