The officer has a duty to not get out of the way until deadly force is used against him. Then his duty changes to stopping the individual that has chosen to use deadly force from harming himself and other officers as well as bystanders. What if he did jump out of the way and the driver then drove through a crowd attempting to escape. The driver chose the outcome.

First off the loss of life is a Terrible Thing. All Life is Precious. Second, and most importanly if you attempt to drive aggressively towards any type of law enforcement agent they are given every right to defend themselves by whatever means they deem necessary. Sad that a life has been lost but plain and simple leave these people alone and let them do their jobs.

Her car was stopped. Agents told her to move after grabbing the driver door handle. She was nervous. Then an idiot agent moved to the front of the vehicle as she turned the wheel sharply right and tried to gtfo as ordered.
