60 votes are needed to pass a continuing resolution.
The Republicans have 53 senate seats.
The democrats have shut down the government because 7 of them won’t vote on a clean continuing resolution because they want to continue free handouts for illegal immigrants.

I don’t miss government at all, the shutdown causes no adverse effect to me or my family. And I do enjoy temu Obama’s growing and shrinking sombreros. The WH memes have been great.
