Not sure that is realistic. Many of these folks were allowed in, hell welcomed by the US Government and have been functioning members of society for many years.
It is short sighted and ignorant to think we are just gonna round up millions of people. There has to be a middle ground.

Are you making a suggestion of changing the existing system? Or are not familiar with the existing system?
Under the existing system, a felony conviction can either permanently block attempts to come back legally. Or depending on the crime, can block for 2-20 years.
It also makes the steps to come back twice as hard as if the person was trying to do a flag free immigration.
Not trying to fight with you, or anything. Just wondering if you think that needs reform, or didn't know how it works now.

Why specify “for 10 years” unless you meant that they could then apply for citizenship after 10 years? Which brings us back to my original point of we don’t need to allow felons in at all.

If we stop giving them tax payer funded hand outs they will self deport themselves back. We wouldn’t have to round anyone up.
