Then they should be siding with Trump to curry favor with the new administration.
You also never know what's going on behind the scenes, whether rewards for being "loyal" are being offered or threats against "disloyalty" are being made. Politics is dirty and this administration has already shown many times that it puts politics above national interests.

They said the full report will be released next week. I guess we will see.
This was a hearing about cyber security and these questions were asked. It was on all the cable networks.

If Russia didn't directly change the election results, what is the big deal here? How is exposing the DNC's corruption and incompetence any different than Obama trying to interfere in Israel's election, or in the Brexit vote? How is it any different than leftist pundits offering rewards for dirt on Trump and other Republicans? How is it different than Hillary accepting millions from foreign governments and leaders? Do people believe out intelligence community is as pure as the driven snow, and hasn't tried the same thing in other nations?
Do they know for a fact that the Russian government is behind this and not some Russian hacker group? Unless they can prove something changed the votes by some artificial means to allow Trump to win, then this should not be getting as much airtime as it is. If they are that concerned about it, then they need to overhaul the election laws to eliminate foreign donations, etc. for future elections. No foreign input in out elections at all.

The DNC is a private entity. Not governmental. Obama said hacking of private entities is just cyber vandalism. Where is the election tampering if it's just cyber vandalism?

According to most sources inside Trump's transit team, he's simply pushing back on the liberals' attempts at delegitimizing his election. They are the one who keeps pushing this issue. Trump, as he does, for better or worse, is simply responding to attacks on him. As for any motive, everything coming out of D.C., from both sides of the aisle, is about politics, politics, and more politics. Obviously, not all are lying. But take the head of the CIA as one example: he's ALL bout politics & as a major Obama appointee, he's a pure bred Democrat for all extents & purposes. KellyAnn said that Trump will make a more definitive response once he's had time to review the report.

Understood. And I agree to an extent. I don't know that that could happen at this scale, especially with perjury hanging over their heads. You are talking about willful deceit. I just don't see it.

This board believes that Russia had no part in the hacking or interference.
Can we agree on the method at which Podesta was "hacked" in being a phishing scam..
I have not once said that I know who or in what degree the Russians were attempting to hack anyone.
Im also not naive in thinking that the Russians arent attempting to spy and gather information on potential political advisories. The real issue here, why is this all of sudden a issue that continues to erode an already fragile relationship with a foreign government. Could it be that the administration is trying to undermine the next presidents legitimacy to buffer their crumbling legacy?

I'm listening to the hearing.
One glaring thing that comes out is how incompetent our intel community has been under Obama

Fair enough. And he should push back against that. That is stupid. He is the legitimate president. But, he is convoluting two distinct things. Seems to be a mistake.

Okay.
Why shout it was definitely the Russians for months before giving the proof? It makes them look like they are lying/hiding.

Well i guess your entire thread is useless then. I've been wanting to see the evidence but nothing has been released yet. Does that not make you the least bit curious?

It's almost surreal that Trump is siding with Putin over our intelligence agencies.

If the DNC emails were falsified I'd have a problem with this. They were real though, and the people deserved to know. I don't care who hacked it. And everyone in the world has a vested interest in who wins the presidency. Russia running social media platforms or news sites that are pro trump is no different than the UK running pro Hillary/anti trump news. It's the age of the Internet and this will be the norm from here on out. It's up to the voters to research and form their own opinion
Just to be clear, you're OK with the MSM and Russia spreading false information? Fake news?

Why his supporters are siding with Russia over the IC is beyond me.

Useless?
Intelligence Directors testified under oath today in a Senate hearing that it was Russia that hacked and interfered with our election.
Either they are truthful or they have perjured themselves. Either way, it is a big story, especially with Trump tweeting support for Assange/Putin's position almost daily.
But, maybe they are all lying? If so, there should be an investigation and they should be indicted.

For the 275th damned time. How?
Did they change votes, or just expose corruption and let people make up their own minds?
What they interfered with was liberal's plans to cheat.
ETA: Donna Brazille interfered with the election process more than Russia.
