Its happened every time we've enacted regime change.
The shocking thing is you had to actually ask me this question.

Is there any way to drop guns and ammo into the major cities? In Tehran, even 1000 guns in the right hands could make a huge difference. Imagine what 10,000 could do.

Persians are different.
They were in the streets calling for a return of the Shah. That just brings a secular version of graft and abuses. See the 60's and 70's. Political Dominance is in their DNA

We've done a lot of this and somehow these guns always seem to get used against us.

I just want them to let that Persian breeding stock out again. When they are hot they are amazing

Brilliant response. Sounds like a 4 year old when they know they're losing the argument.

Destabilization is the point.
The problem in that part of the world is that it usually takes a command, often violent, radical dictator to become stable.
Hopefully they inch back towards a more secular government. But I have my doubts.

Saudi Arabia and Iran have been at odds for centuries.

This would bad for Putin if it actually occurs, and great for Israel

Many countries who were at odds for centuries have become close allies under Pax Americana and the "new world order' as GHWB labeled it.
SA under MBS seem to want to join modernity. My post was commenting on the impacts of Iran also doing so.

Shia vs Sunni, they hate each other
Posted on 1/1/26 at 11:50 am to CitizenK
Modern countries don't care.
And if Iran and SA aren't pushing that divide, then basically nobody is funding the terrorists who would do anything about it. That whole conflict moves away from military-terrorist to academic again, as it existed in many other time periods since the philosophical difference emerged.
Also, if Iran and SA want peace, they + Israel can tell anyone else in that region, through North Africa until they hit Pakistan/Afghanistan, what's up.

It hasn't changed at all. You are clueless again.
FTR, officially, 50,000 out of 75,000 mosques closed last year due lack of attendance. Christianity is growing like wildfire in Iran for the last several years. Less than 30% of Iranians are moslem.
