The previous strike was successful in taking out their nuclear program and air defenses.

Placed sanctions back on them and significantly hampered their ability to wage a proxy war.

None of that was meant to be a true long term resolution. It was a way to make a symbolic strike and end the 12 day war.

Iran's regime going down is part of the playbook in countering China and preserving the dollar and the world order. We just about have the Western Hemisphere under control. Europe is being forced to counter Russia. Middle East is so close to lasting peace. That would only leave China and China doesn't want a U.S. military with only one prime adversary.

You tell that idiot. I’m sure Israel will stand beside us as always once the war starts.

Yes, if reports/intelligence is correct. Do you disagree? Which ones have they either denied involvement with or disavowed?

Because the region is fed up with them and because Israel decapitated their proxies...is as good a time as there has been. ME was not about to let Iraq best Iran but that was then....SA is in the catbird seat

Then what are we discussing? They are a bad actor and have been. I expressed that the problem of Iran does not seem to be one solved by just bombing them, for this could have been done long ago.

While they are vulnerable, in my opinion, there is an extreme risk of massive loss of life on both sides with chaos spiraling in their country. I just believe they are a powder keg.

What is your version of massive loss of life on both sides?

Iranian civilians and that of US assets in the region along with whatever offensive coalition. One of the reasons given for a preemptive attack is their possession of an arsenal of ballistic missiles. It seems more than likely that they would utilize these if attacked.

My guess is that Trump wants regime change. I believe he wants Khomeni (sp) out. I think that he would like the same thing that he believes the Iranian people want, a leadership that is less oppressive on women and less of the hard line leaders who threaten the US and Israel and frankly all its neighbors with a nuclear war.

I mean this is certainly different. We know they have intentions and are actively enriching uranium. But we won’t send troops in this time.
