A clickbait article on a TDS website told you that's what's going on and you believe it.

Calling racism is when you have no excuses for your own failures and are looking to point blame.

Nope. I just judge them on the content of their character

I guess I should be happy that I have no idea what any of this means or is even about. I don’t know what a Goyper is unless it’s related to a condition of the foot.

Vivek wants to lay off white people and bring in Indians to replace them. He doesn’t think white people have a strong work ethic or as much intelligence as Indians. Dont believe a word that he says about what makes someone an “American.” Go fix your homeland of India before you try this crap here in America.

I often think of that experiment where some scientist put a couple of rats in a cage, and just let them be rats. They were very calm at first, but the calm was replaced by nervousness and on to brutal combat and cannibalism as their population increased. America was and mostly still is a very beautiful place and generally uncrowded. But India not as much re crowded . China tried to address their population problem, but the almighty‘Economy’ nixed that. We all may be on the “Koyaanisqatsi “ trajectory as it were and this is neither morality or rocket science but just Nature. Albeit the Natural Evolutionary Process ends up being Morality (God) via Science.

The archeological record seems to indicate that great civilizations existed way back. They came and went for whatever reason. Seems there might be a pattern. Always is. Go figure.

I remember when Vivek thought he was "one of the good ones." Life comes at you fast. JD Vance will find that out in a few years too

I am pleasantly surprised and encouraged by the discussion here following Ramaswamy's comments.

You having this reaction is all the evidence needed to show that Vivek is wrong. His comments are nothing more than repackaged globalists tropes that have been used for decades to the detriment of Americans.

On the one hand, there are people such as President Reagan and Vivek Ramaswamy, who recognize that anyone in the world can become an American,

Reagan may have felt differently if he'd lived long enough to see the overwhelming numbers of today, let me show you.

quote:

In 1984, the U.S. foreign-born population was around 14.1 million in 1980.

The foreign-born population accounted for 6.2% of the total U.S. population in 1980.

quote:

The U.S. foreign-born population reached record highs in 2024, with estimates ranging from around 50.2 million to 51.6 million, representing about 14.8% to 15.6% of the total U.S. population, a significant increase driven by recent immigration trends.

Our foreign born population, as you can see, has grown significantly.

When you try to shoehorn Reagan and Ramaswamy into the same ideological box you're being disingenuous as the situation has very much changed.

Yes - and the important question is = How did this change in such a short time?

= natural evolution of human nature?

or

= deliberate manipulation by a political party to obtain a political advantage?

take a guess and defend your rationale.

I will be watching very closely how he navigates this and H1B.

Simply if he ends H1B ill march 50 people to the voting booth in 2028.

Vivek Ramaswamy

This is the perfect case study on why we can’t elect people to major office who haven’t been in the public spotlight to expose their full range of views.

Vivek came out on fire during the primaries saying all the right things in a short supernova where he took on rock star status.

Now a couple years in his full range of views become apparent and many conservatives are like “wait, what?”

Where the frick do you get "people"?

You posted an article by ONE guy.

Then you generalized it to a group of people.

Now who is the "racist"?

frick you.

Also fell for the OP's BS as well.

RetiredTiger enters threads where progressives cheer over killing Charlie Kirk to proudly proclaim that "he is against racism too!"....implying CK was one and deserved his fate. Anyone else that agreed with CK also deserved the same fate.

It is funny to me that the biggest trolls on this site get the most play.

You obviously are confusing me with someone else.

At no time have I ever stated or even implied that Kirk deserved to be murdered. That was wrong, period. And the shooter should be executed or at least life in prison, assuming a lawful conviction.

I read Ramaswamy's article and thought he made some good points. White supremacy and white nationalism are disgusting and do not belong near public policy.

But some people disagree with him, and so I decided to share it with this forum to see what people thought.

I believe America is a creedal nation. In that if you're allowed to come here, you can be of a different ethnicity and provided you "buy in" you're an authentic American in my book (and that of most, I think).

I don't think that means you're "as American" as someone whose family built the country, but that's a cultural matter of degree, not a legal one. I see no problem with that reality.
