Why is it so hard to understand that when almost everyone is vaccinated then most of the deaths will be vaccinated people.

That's a 2 way street. However.... NPR, as shown on page 1 states that it's between 58% and 78%.
They push that it's 58%

There has been way too much noise on all sides.
I was told my vaccination was 90% effective. I think real numbers have lowered that estimate to 85%. I never thought it to be 100%.
But it’s everyone’s option to do as they choose. Trying to find the smoking gun on all this isn’t going to happen. It’s too political now.

Okay, but why are we still seeing spikes similar to the first two surges?
Shouldn’t spikes be a thing of the past?
A spike in cases, with a largely vaccinated population, does not compute, no matter how it is spun.

Because the delta is insanely contagious for a respiratory virus. The r-factor is comparable to chicken pox. No one could see that coming. Good thing is viruses become less virulent as they become more contagious. Even delta is less virulent, you can’t tell because of how many people are getting it. If delta was the original strain, and no one had antibodies, there would be mass graves right now.

So my little sample organization, 400 employees no mandatory vax a 40% vax rate and 35% previously infected rate). We have had 30 positives since July 9th, 27 unvaccinated no previous covid infection. 3 vaccinated (two Pfizer, 1J&J). Also important to note, no reinfected amongst previously infected. I gather from that that both the vaccine and the virus are effective at preventing future infection. It is very likely that natural immunity last much longer.
The original SARS-CoV-1 was studied and most people had effective t-cell response after 36-months.

The way this will get spun is that this only proves how dangerous the new variants are. Therefore, they'll just say not only must everyone get vaccinated, but now you'll need to socially distance, mask, and quarantine as well. It's like the worst of both worlds.
