I’ll take “things that would never happen in reverse” for $1000, Alex.

Good on you, though. Sincerely. That’s the right thing.

So in your irrational mind, you compartmentalize past incidents that you ascribe to “conservative”(because of post on PT). You even have an internal tier system for your talking points. You likely even have meetings with yourself to discuss which bullets to focus on throughout the week. Then you post, in such a way that no normal, rational being can interpret. And you do this all, not because you are an insane god hating leftist, but because you are actually trying to save and preserve conservatism. You are really our savior. Welcome to the thread on the predictable side you’re on.

Israel needs to turn the Gaza Strip into an uninhabitable wasteland. Wipe them out.

No shite. They train everyone for military service and then leave them unarmed?

I don't think that post was correct.

I think that was a random drive by 2nd amendment chest beating comment.

Israeli settlers get to carry weapons and many are in the military

After WWII, it probably wasn’t the best idea to carve out a piece of land in the ME and give it to the Jews where they are surrounded by their mortal enemies.

I notice you didn't provide a reference to all the times Hamas has "negotiated" with Israel.

Just one of a number of similar socially conservative moral panics that cycle through their zeitgeist.

I'm one of the most socially conservative posters on this forum and I've never heard of "MoMo" prior to your mention, so I'm not sure how much of a "moral panic" it caused. It was much more likely to be a media-created panic, if anything.

It is completely understandable, based on both our allowance of unfettered illegal immigration and our general tolerance of Muslims (and other cultures) setting up shop in the US with no efforts of assimilation, that people would have some fear of organized terror plots. I highly doubt, though, that most posters here are particularly concerned about it given that very few would even live somewhere that something like that might occur.

I suspect in the 60s you would have been the guy saying, "Why are you worried about the Black Panthers? They've only bombed 3 police stations."

Last night I was watching some short videos on facebook. I came across the Trumpets of Tutankhamun. It is said whenever these things are played a terrible event happens. I played a video of the actual trumpets being played after 3000 years. Check out some of the videos...

With their intelligence operations, i cant believe they disnt see this coming.
Unless they allowed it so they could really wipe out gaza.
But its hard for me to believ the latter

This will be the insinuated media narrative, though. Within a few days you'll start to hear "How could Israel have let this happen?" which will morph to "This is an unprecedented intelligence failure by Israel." which will morph to "Given Israel's devastating response in Gaza, questions are still being asked how Israel could have let this happen to begin with? You have to ask if this was really a surprise attack at all."

Watch.

Israel issues are always way over my head. I see some paranoia on patriots.win and here that Biden handing Iran $6 billion kickstarted this. But, I also feel that the AIPAC has unhealthy control over our politicians. Do you think Obama/Biden and some others in our gov really want to F with Israel?

Well he is a good case study in what the country is up against, complete loon. Makes you wonder if he sexualizes threads, no hyperbole.

No there is a mindset to a large subset of social conservatives that leads to this repeated behavior.

There are literal biological explanations for this

quote:

On the whole, the research shows, conservatives desire security, predictability and authority more than liberals do, and liberals are more comfortable with novelty, nuance and complexity.

Social conservatives have a stronger sympathetic nervous system response and have stronger physiological reactions to threatening stimuli. This manifests in the pattern of behaviors I am referencing (and the pathology you see in this thread, showing the reactions to perceived threatening stimuli, which lead to irrational conceptualizing).

quote:

Then you post, in such a way that no normal, rational being can interpret.

Well that's simply wrong.

Act of war

Hamas rockets have gotten more sophisticated and long range. There were so many rockets fired that the Israeli defense could not shoot them down.

Israel will use this to retaliate and fight to get Gaza back.

Middle East is on edge

Arab nations likely to rise up

That $6B likely will fund operations well into the future.

Biden's deal was in September 2023. There is no way that this money has much, if any, impact on this operation. This operation has to have been in the works for months (maybe years).

And yes, the vast majority of DEMs don't want to piss of AIPAC, either.

The $6B referenced

quote:

Sept. 11, 2023

quote:

The Biden administration informed Congress on Monday that it has taken concrete steps to carry out a prisoner exchange with Iran, issuing a waiver that will give Tehran access to $6 billion in Iranian oil revenue that had been blocked by U.S. sanctions, according to a State Department document sent to Congress and obtained by NBC News.
