Shouldn't he be arresting them instead?

Nah it’s just the ones on here who that’s all they can talk about.

I haven't seen a lot of chatter on that here recently. But the administration absolutely brought that on themselves.

You are surely aware that sometimes there are things or actions that are certainly fireable offenses, perhaps some other “hurtful” consequences like forfeiting retirement/pension etc, yet may not necessarily be criminal offenses. I can’t imagine this being too complicated or complex a concept for folks to sort through in their minds.

Using a federal agency to wage war against your political rivals is 100% definitely a criminal offense.

Then figure it out.

I mean, I guess to state the obvious, perhaps you could share with the rest of the class the exact federal statute(s) to which you’re referring, and even more impressive would be to whom it/each would be applied. Shouldn’t be hard.

I'm not doing a bunch of work for you, man. Lame defense mechanism.

Ever heard of the Hatch Act? Go enlighten yourself on your own time.

My friend, how is it unreasonable to ask someone to specify what they’re talking about? I guess I may have a slightly different perspective on these things because I am in the legal field, and there’s just a bit of a stronger standard of “proof” and specificity in these regards, vague and open ended assertions just don’t fly. Plus, I do have a little more extensive understanding of how these things work, and it’s fairly easy for me to identify when a person is talking out of their arse on such matters.

Trust me, I’d be shocked if SFP and myself shared any like opinions.

No need to make it a big deal, but suffice it to say the Hatch Act doesn’t involve criminal arrests. Not for direct violations of the act. And we’ll leave it at that. No biggie.

Then you know damn well that weaponizing the FBI against a political opponent is against the law. This doesn't even need to be discussed. It's obvious to an 8th grader.

Maybe. Or maybe someone does it for him.

True. Probably more ideal to not go into a public establishment for that. Nick Saban doesn’t go to hair stylists, hair stylists go to Nick Saban. Makes sense. I just had to work through it. Thanks for your time.

Keep in mind, this was 2001. Nick’s on another level these days.
