Idk how many times I have read this in different threads.
Breonna Taylor's ex bf was the drug dealer.
Walker is a licensed gun owner.
With a ccw permit. You don't get that if your a convicted felon.
Also he did not shoot the cop through the door as I have read in other threads.
I agree with you.
And I have little problem with the guy shooting at the cops who burst in the apartment.
The police obviously had every right to return fire.
Taylor was caught in the cross fire.
This entire thing was a tragedy. Not criminal. Not in any way criminal.
Sometimes everything is done correctly and you can still have a bad outcome. That's what kinda happened here.
Taylor put herself in a bad situation getting mixed up with the drug dealer, but I think everyone will agree the death was a tragedy.
I see all the down votes and I have to wonder why. None of us disagree with what he said.
I figure it's the way it was said. Few here need to be lectured about this case. They know way more than the average person and way way more than your average idiot protestor.
The down votes are therefore what i can only describe and a holier than though attitude that every left winger has.

It’s not undisputed.
I thought they had jail recordings of her and her ex.
Is that inaccurate?

Someone bust through my door in the middle of the night, they better at least be wearing a uniform. Some plain clothed dude breaks down my door with a gun, if I know I didn’t do anything wrong, I don’t care if he says he is police or Jesus Christ the lord risen. I have a gun to protect myself and this is the reason.
Thugs will just start saying they are police before they break down your door.

It is inaccurate in that they have no jail recordings indicating that she was intimately involved in the drug dealing.
Recordings of her ex, Glover, subsequent to the shooting, have him claiming she is holding money for him. $8,000. Which may or may not be true. I wouldn’t trust anything he says.

What in your opinion should have happened at this point??
By that point, the raid reached it’s logical conclusion. Gun play in a home invasion should be the baseline expectation of any such raid.
Yet it never should have reached that point. This raid needlessly put civilians and LEO in harm’s way: a woman is dead, a officer was shot and another is facing criminal charges.

So he's going to do illegal activity but get a gun legally?
That doesn't even make sense.
I don't understand what part of that doesn't make sense.
ETA: Why wouldn't he get a legal weapon if he can?

Well, it may be in some ways criminal. There’s still a case to litigate. But mostly, as you said, it’s just a tragedy.

My god, let it go. Walker will be dead within a year.

They do. It is all in this article.
article
quote:
Another jailhouse recording made hours after Taylor was fatally shot showed Glover told the mother of his children that Taylor had been managing his money for him when she was killed.
“Bre got down like $15 [grand], she had the $8 [grand] I gave her the other day and she picked up another $6 [grand],” he told the woman, according to leaked documents.
“Bre been handling all my money, she been handling my money,” Glover told the woman a moment later, according to WAVE. “She been handling s–t for me and cuz, it ain’t just me.”
quote:
The report included pictures of Glover actually picking up packages at Taylor house and pictures of Taylor at the trap house police had been watching, WAVE reported.

I still don’t get how this board rightfully complains about dishonesty within the media, but then lose their ish when people make sure proper info is being used
“The press lied to us!!”
Also, “Kenneth Walker was a drug dealer who shot through a door at police who all the neighbors said announced their presence!!
I feel badly for you, but perhaps it is educational as well.

Hey Hank. frick yourself.

He was dating a drug dealer so it's not like he wasn't involved in the game and didn't know what he was dealing with

I support the police (in general) and frick the rioters. But, the very idea that "so what if the police mess up and a 'thug' dies" is okay is frightening.

I'm so behind on all this. What drug was being sold by the ex bf?

quote:They also said that she had a history of fleeing from the police.
They lied at least twice on the warrant.
They said there were surveillance cameras at Breonna’s house. They said that they had used a USPS inspector to discover that Glover was using her address.

You're asking for critical thinking. You won't find much here. Just rabid dogs.
