But you brought up Trump in this thread. That was kind of unnecessary.
This is a thread about Kevin McCarthy not securing the speaker position and hoping that there is a change in GOP leadership going forward.

After hearing Kirk talk today, it sounds like McCarthy could probably still be speaker, but he is basically going to have to sign his balls away to the Freedom Caucus, Which includes a clause where they can oust his arse at any moment.
They also are basically making him agree to multiple investigations and committee heads/members that he normally would not appoint.
Look for people like MTG and Jordan and Boebert, etc to have BIG presence during the next cycle of all of this true.
That means Hunter/Joe Biden-China, J6, Pelosi police, Fauci, etc.
If McCarthy wants to be speaker, he is going to have to play ball bigly with the MAGA wing.
Kirk also suggested they may go outside the House to nominate someone. That's where a Trump type figure comes into play.
