how can you be a fan of someone who wore blackface multiple times.
How racist of you.

Maybe he said nothing wrong, who knows but his employer didn't approve of it and he got shitcanned for now. Sucks to be him.
Guess what? If you or I do that at work, we'll get shitcanned too. Funny how life works.

I know it's hard for you to do, but try and stay on subject.

Except, you know…lie.
If ABC felt they were being unconstitutionally pressured or that he had said nothing wrong, they could’ve easily stood by him.

How about lying about the shooter and being insensitive? It's his employer's decision. You want to go to bat for him? Go for it.

did you watch his show? i'm guessing you didn't not many people did and less than 200k people under the age of 50 watched that show, he was being paid 15mm a year and his wife was being paid another 3-4mm a year to executive produce the show. it was bleeding red ink his contract is up for renewal in may of 26, i'm guessing they weren't and he'd already seen the writing on the wall.

So you approve of dishonesty. Shocker.

The FCC did not fire Kimmel. You liberal defenders never get the story right...and then you spread lies. ABC, as a private company, decided to kill his show indefinitely. And, in my opinion, he certainly deserves to be unemployed.

I’ve heard the theory put out there that he said what he said knowing he would be shitcanned for it, thus he could save face by blaming it on his “being persecuted for free speech” rather than the fact that his show’s performance sucked donkey balls.

Kimmel was dying in rating well before this. ABC is the wokest of the mainstream media and are just pandering because they are going under too.

He didn't get fired because he was profitable. The company made a business decision that it was more profitable to get rid of him than keep him. He had no meaningful audience and gave them an excuse and they jumped on it.
Had nothing to do with the government.

ABC affiliates were threatening to pull out. Kimmel defenders conveniently want to ignore this.

I will only state the following on this issue. All Kimmel had to do is not address this particular situation. Believe it or not, there was a time when late night hosts avoided topics such as this. I haven't watched late night shows since the pandemic, but some of these shows got much more political than they ever needed to be or should be. These hosts got used to getting away with saying anything they wanted with little to no blowback. Sooner or later, the pendulum will swing the other way, and there are repercussions. It's the same way if most of us were to start sprouting off on social media, some of us could face repercussions from our employers depending on the topic at hand. I this case, horrible late night TV ratings also give cover for this decision by Disney/ABC.

If he were sharing an opinion within the first 48 hours before all the facts are out, he simply has to face any hit to his reputation and credibility (lol).
Once the facts are out, and you deliberately mislead and lie to the audience over public airwaves, no more FCC licence for you.
