Is it possible that the DA and cops were forced into this by a "higher up" and they are intentionally tanking their case and laying the groundwork for a civil suit?

unbelievable the amount of malfeasance on the part of the cops, DA, feds...
this is completely one-sided and they're still screwed. if the prosecution had their way all the video would have been scrubbed and not admitted.

Ended for the day and then a minute later the Judge called the for lieutenant up and is now talking to him about something. Presumably allowing a subpoenaed witness to leave the court house.
