Has been for a good minute now. I get the "unexpected reaction" but assuming cross by these clowns is a threat is quite the reach.

People can downvote me, but it's true. If this wasn't planned, you have a witness who is already doing the unexpected. He has to keep his composure. If he can't, cross is going to be fireworks.

No, to act like the entire scenario doesn't bother him, and to act robotic about it, would be unhelpful. This is purely helpful.

If they attack him on cross like I think they will, it will make the ADA look really really bad.

This will definitely happen. Kyle stood up to 3 grown men that were trying to kill him! I’m pretty sure he can handle the ADA.

FFS. Are you people retarded? I'm saying this plays great right now. It's not bad in terms of how it looks during direct. I'm saying it could mean he's not as in control for the cross as he thinks he is.

In putting the defendant on the stand, everything has to be expected and accounted for. If he's unable to keep his emotions in check under questioning from his defense, he doesn't need to be questioned by the prosecution.

If he's dealing with trauma from the events of that night, he doesn't need to be under the pressure of a prosecutor branding him a murderer.

People react to stress differently. In preparation for his taking the stand he may have shown the ability to handle it.

I think you are generalizing too much

As the lawyers on the feed are saying actual murderers often cry on the stand.

Obviously I am 100% on Kyle's side, but his crying doesn't really help.

Y'all... what if the judge allows the testimony to be stricken due to PTSD??? That Kyle is obviously not in a good state of mind and there is no cross?!?

That would be a huge fricking win for the defense.

You guys still aren't getting it. It doesn't matter how Kyle handles it. It's the narrative and picture the DAs will paint to the jury. They will twist everything he says, everything he does, to make him look bad in the eyes of the jury.

Our opinion of Kyle doesn't matter. Only the jury's.

They aren’t and it’s real emotion from PTSD, stress, and remorse. Also happens with very guilty people.

Nobody can feel what he does. Still risky af. The cross examination will be brutal.

The judge legally has to allow the cross.
