I think the key to the primaries will be the fact that California moved theirs up. I think if she wins SC (mainly b/c of black vote) she wins Cali and goes on a delegate winning spree.

The only Dem that could make it to the debate stage with Trump is Biden. Every other democrat in that list has serious baggage that splinters their demographics. And Biden isn't socialist enough, has some very questionable videos/photos of being extremely creepy to women and kids.

Robert O'Rourke - Is a clown. I really don't understand what the left sees in him, other than he tries to pretend to be a Mexican. In the days of cultural appropriation, this will hurt him.
Sanders - Full on socialism won't win an election. There are still some democrats that are very against Socialism, and he will be roasted over Venezuela.
Schultz - The far left is already trying to destroy anyone who is not outright Communist.
Obama - She literally brings nothing to the table. No experience. No plans.
Klobuchar - she is a moron. She embarrassed her self during the Kav hearings. Coincidentally, she wasn't as rabid as the other dems, so the left don't like her. She's a relative no name and isn't extreme enough to get the socialist vote.
Castro - Not a snomballs chance in hell. His socialist views accompanied with his last name automatically removes Florida from the map.
Guillibrand - Women hate other women. Especially, a blonde wealthy white new york woman. No shot.
Everyone else right now, are no names and are simply wanting attention.

Then why he is polling at the top of every poll?
If he runs and can endure the campaign without any major gaffes (in the trump era, we don't even know what a major gaffe is anymore) then he will likely be the nominee.
I'm happy that so many are running because we need insurance in case he decides not to run or has issues with his campaign.

I said i think he's the only one with a shot at being the nominee. But he's going to have to deal with his creepiness.
Also, he's not socialist enough to garner the vote of the far left, which now comprises 30% of the Democrat party.
Also, what will he run on? If he's not going to out "everything is free" his opponents, then he has to run on something. The debates would be Joe agreeing with Trump on virtually every issue. The only thing he'll do is sprinkle in a few "i think healthcare for all" blah blah blah, talking points. Other than that, he's going to agree with what Trump says.
And...he's not black. How does he "connect" with the black vote?
I personally, just don't see any lefty beating Trump in 2020. Economy is going to well, we are actually pulling out of the Middle East, a platform the left has long campaigned on but never actually done. He's gained large support from the minority communities. Again, though, this is from a conservatives point of view.

And while Clinton was polarizing herself, Bernie is even more polarizing. Clinton benefitted from having the RINO GOP able to support her. Bernie doesn't have that support. His socialist views are so extreme, and proven to be wrong every time he opens his mouth, that NO Republican, no matter how RINO, would ever consider working with him, and a large portion of non-radical Dems would also not support an avowed socialist.
While the millenial crowd may think Cortez and socialism is the wave of the future, there many times more # of voters who abhor the notion that we will become a full on socialist empire like Venezuela.

I guess a little bit of both. I think he could win the nomination, that's why i chose him as facing Trump, but i don't think he has a shot against Trump. I don't know what he brings to the table.
