Nah. It's not murder to put a murderer to death.

Nah, Its a group of men who, once upon a time, arbitrarily decided that its OK for the "state" to kill someone. Men also decided that sometimes its OK to kill other people (wars, self-defense) and other times its not OK. So basically, some men decided for society that its not OK to kill unless they say so.

quote:

It's punishment.

It punishes noone. A dead man learn's nothing. Life in a cage is a much harsher punishment. All it does is leave the rest of us to live in fear. When might the state decide its OK to kill for certain behavior, or speech? Has history taught us nothing? The wrongfully accused dead man or dead victims of tyranny can NEVER have justice.

But you know this already. You are just trying to be cute.

I really am against the death penalty. I know I'll get downvoted for it. I dont care and I wont try to change anyone's mind.

Has Libby Hank (who unlike you, happens to be a lawyer) chimed in on how this is a great victory for America?

murder is the taking of innocent life. taking the life of a murderer is not murder bc the murderer is not innocent life. you liberals are so dumb it's painful.
if youre done calling people dumb you might want to look up the definition of "murder", because that aint it.

(it has nothing to do with "innocent". "innocent" of what, what does that even mean.)

His actions resulted in the deaths of 3 people and he killed them with a terrorist act, he deserves to die.

if you are convicted of a crime, as in this case, then you are no longer innocent of the charges at hand, idiot.

Dumbest thing I’ve read today.

Please explain. Being pro-life doesn't simply stop with abortion. All lives matter and all life is precious. I feel like life in prison without the possibility of parole is a fate worse than death.

I’m happy with this.

I’d think rotting in ADX Florence for 50+ years would be much worse then instant death.

That place is known as “a sanitized version of hell”

Death would be an easy way out. Now he has to suffer with zero human contact for the rest of his life

I'm sure I'm going to get downvoted into oblivion for this, but if you confess yourself to be pro-life, there is absolutely no reason why you should support the death penalty.

I am against the death penalty for a multitude of reasons.

However, this statement is just wrong.

Pro life people consider abortion to be there killing of innocent life.

The death penalty is not killing innocent life.

It is the ultimate punishment for criminals who have violated the most sacred laws of society.

Obviously these are very different things.

Good. State sanctioned murder is still murder.

No.

If I take money from you, it is stealing, and a crime.
If the government has a law against parking in a handicap spot w/o a permit, and a $200 fine, that's a fine, it is not stealing.

See the difference?

If I kidnap you, it is a crime.
If the government has a law against robbing banks, with a prison term as a sentence, that is imprisonment, it's not kidnapping.

See the difference?

It's not complicated. Can you take the next step (hint: murder = crime. ....)?
