The NYT had an interesting take. Liberals are good at ideas but they're not good at implementing them. That's why so many professors are liberals but so many governors are conservatives.
Rodney Dangerfield put it a little more succinctly.

In that healthcare is now a LEGAL RIGHT in this country instead of a mere privilege
See? Now we're getting somewhere. This "legal right" garbage is the entire problem with the ACA. It's the exact reason some love it (those who don't pay) and some hate it (those who pay more than they did before--whether individual or corporation).
Why? It's all based on the false liberal premise that everything belongs to the government to dole out as it sees fit. That's the beginning, middle, and end of this debate.
The problem is that liberals (i.e., Rex) do not understand that the government makes nothing. It manufactures nothing. It produces nothing. Thus, for the government to "give" this new "legal right" to people wherein money must be paid for private services on behalf of those who cannot pay for it on their own, it requires the government to place that payment burden entirely on the backs of other citizens and entities.
I don't understand how some of you liberals don't get this. My right to property (i.e., the money I earn) should trump someone else's new "right" to healthcare. But, in the backwards world called d.c., it's the reverse.
This is no different than the government wanting everyone to have a car and forcing me to buy my new F-150 through the government for $95,000 while giving them to those who make less money. Unreal.
