So has Lake Charles! Seems like the op would check his facts first. Maybe he doesn’t think LC is a major city in this state. I’ll give him that, if it’ll help his cause.

Louisiana is a welfare state. Huey Long started it and the governors who followed him used the state payroll to build a large base of supporters. Louisiana has never been business friendly or open to business development. Politicians are populists who cater to the public.
