Obvious troll is obvious.

You do know that a ton of other bills got vetoed too, including constitutional carry?

Sure, but I expect the sheriffs and police associations to keep blocking this.

I think Johns already has a position on the gaming control board and there is vacancy for the director.

Don’t be surprised if the NFL says no more Super Bowls in NoLa or is the NCAA say the sugar bowl is no longer part of the NCAA playoffs.

If so, so be it. frick the Super Bowl, frick the Final Four and frick whoever else tries to dictate the will of the people. The NCAA doesn't control the college bowls or playoffs, so who knows about those.

This issue doesn't even affect me and realistically is not one of the more important things out there, but to hell with these big money-making organizations trying to bully their way into getting what they believe everyone else should want.

Am I the only one who thinks it's crazy that the legislature would convene its first ever override session just to kick the teenage trannies, who are not playing women's sports in Louisiana?

So you're not a big proponent of women's rights, eh ?

Didn’t mention he starts his job as head of gaming commission a week later.

I see the "everyone gets to conceal their guns" bill as dead due to pressure from the Republican police and sheriffs, but the veto of the teenage tranny bill, kicking a group that does not have a powerful lobby group, getting overridden.

That makes the session about teen trannies. And there isn't a single known teen tranny playing women's sports in Louisiana.

Kind of a nutso purpose for the first ever override session.

At this point, the whole thing is likely about explaining to the governor that he is NOT in as much control as he thinks he is.

The governor in LA is powerful but an opposition party with large enough numbers in both chambers can overrule him.

Lord I hope you are right.....I still think its about the backroom political deals which has been the way in LA forever basically.

We shall see when we get to the Senate votes on the override for CC and Trannies.

In a bold countermove, Governor Edwards has just authored a bill changing Louisiana's state name to Transylvaniana.

I expect common folk are about tired of those groups dictating what their rights are.

No doubt this is a momentous occasion in this state where the legislature could firm up and uphold the will of the people all while slightly minimizing the power that EWE granted to LA governors in 1973.

However, I just don't think they have the balls to do it.

Problem is knowing if your reaching them. I've called and emailed Connick, Stagni, Hilferty, Johns and anyone near my city and not a peep back or public announcement or anything, Republicans or Democrats. It feels like they're bought or keeping quiet hoping for their turn at a handout and all they're trying to do is keep low until its over. May be wrong.
