it wasnt obvious at first, but Xim is just too predictable with some of the phrasing used when angry.

It's remarkable how few see the slippery slope of these platforms all suddenly declaring that they will now be arbiters of content.
Good luck to them with that. The horse has now left the barn. Weeeeeeeee.

They tested the waters and set the precedent with jones, and everyone cucked hard, so don’t expect it to ever stop. It’s just the beginning.

I get the feeling that guys like "Patrick Little" that are plants. I mean, come on, going to bash a holocaust museum with a hammer? It's ridiculous even for nazis.

Won't be long before this board is going to get this entire site shut down.

This is to me a legitimately terrifying problem. One for which I cannot easily determine a solution.
On the one hand I support Microsoft and YouTube and Facebook's rights to censor and moderate their platforms as they see fit. I hate their companies and their policies, but it is not my place or the governments place to regulate them. They are private companies and they can do what they want with their platforms. The free market will eventually create a non liberal slanted platform to replace or rival them. I do, however, find it interesting someone posted the other day that if they start selectively regulating content they open themselves up to lawsuits because they no longer can be legally classified as open social media platforms exempt from things such as libel laws. I find the antisemitic speech deplorable, but it is just speech. And speech is protected in this country. It is a novel and still relatively new idea in this world. It is a right that fundamentally changed history and one that should not be trampled on lightly.
On the other hand, if Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Google, and Apple all block you, then you effectively lose the possibility of reaching an audience. And that is a huge problem. Because, while it is not the government silencing you, it is absolutely a form of suppression of speech. So what is the remedy or alternative to those who are silenced?
It comes down to a barrier to entry argument for me. Right now, someone like Gab or Alex Jones can easily just put their content somewhere else and people can continue to access it.
I rarely, if ever, advocate for increased government interference in a free market, but this is getting ridiculous. I would like to give the free market time to sort it out and see what happens.
And this is a brilliant example of the necessity of net neutrality. Because right now someone like Alex Jones or a company like Gab can just choose to host their content on another site or buy their own servers or create their own app that everyone can get access to. But imagine if Comcast or cox could decide to just roundly block all Alex Jones related content to all of their subscribers. They could then actually silence someone completely.

Do they even get what they are opening themselves up to at this point?
Okay, you're now making specific decisions regarding content on your platform? I guess you're now a codefendant in any number of libel/defamation suits because you now ALLOWED something to get published and have now held yourself out as an entity that is willing to police such content and failed to do so.

Capitalism.
If this stuff continues, alternatives will be created.

At this stage in the game... i view all racism the same. If tech companies believe it's okay for generic liberals to go full anti-white rhetoric... then they should be fine with all racism.

With all due respect, I'd imagine these decisions and their implications are run through their legal channels.

Which don't cover companies that host content like cloud providers. Why do you think they were so quick to demonize carriers? I'm sure if the script was flipped to regulate them like utilities, their tune would change dramatically.
Microsoft, Google, and Amazon are poised to control 80 percent of the public cloud space by 2020. I worked for a smaller cloud provider and trust me, it's an uphill battle to compete. These smaller companies are partnered with the big three.

Yes. They absolutely do.

I assume they do not care because if Progressives wrestle control of our government back the first thing they will do is pass a vague and broad federal legislative ban on "hate speech" effectively ending free speech and giving these companies carte blanche authority to censor content as they see fit with no possible repercussions.
Scary time to be an American right now. We stand at the beginning of a fight for the basic rights this country was founded on. Speech, arms, security, and the pursuit of happiness. It is something every single number one world power has faced in history. The fight to fundamentally change your country's values. It is inevitable. Some have faught through it. Some have crumbled under it.
