Having lived in New York and Illinois I must say I don't trust the state politicians to make good deicions, I'd rather have the Feds do them.

I'd give 1:10 odds against these 2 things:
a. Dems take the House and Senate.
b. Two LSU QBs go down with injuries this season.

As a Louisiana native, I understand this sentiment, but it ignores the reality of our history and our system.

I don't even trust the Feds when Rs control all three branches. The fewer branches they have, the less I trust the Feds.
So, there is all of that.
We can turnover State governments in about 6 years. State constitutions can be steered relatively quickly - once the Feds start gaining momentum (1860s, 1920s to 1980s, then accelerating) - they're hard to slow down, much less stop.

Thanks, Brian. I did leave NJ off where I am thinking it will be +2 Dems. I'll reduce Dem gains in CA and PA by one each and stay at +30 for Dems.
IMO, the most important races for the future of partisanship in Congress are governorship/state legislative races in Ohio, PA, Mich, Fla, and Wisc. Reapportionment is coming in 2021.

the state house races are going to be the biggest races in 2020. the right has set up districts so that dems are clustered, and Rs can control the house despite losing the popular vote. The dems can rebalance that in 2021, assuming they win.

So then.....yes
I’m not holding my breath. We’ve been hearing for two years that it’s happening and nothing happens.
