You don't have to call it a Muslim ban. You make it a Syria ban or an Iraq ban, etc. They just happen to be Muslims.

Considering the Muslims fought against the very religion that the founders believed during the Crusades, I would say yes. The better question is did the founders believe that they would immigrate here, would they have still included freedom of all religions in the Bill of Rights or would they have placed some restrictions in it. Interesting topic for sure

Yeah, it's entirely constitutional...I'll add the POTUS should be able to...someone should have the authority to close the borders during a catastrophic event

The Baker gave the answer above. This isn't a ban on Muslims coming into the country, it's a ban from people coming in from certain areas of the world.

A Canadian Muslim can come into the country. A Christian from Syria cannot.

But not a Saudi Arabia ban. He won't do that.

Which is why we're suspending immigration from certain terror states not a religion.
Carter did it and later won a Nobel. Nothing wrong with Trump doing this.

Just to avoid the inevitable court challenges and countless injunctions slowing down implementation. But I'm sure those would occur regardless.

Nothing is wrong with what he has proposed. I am against banning all Muslims. I am also not an idiot and knew he never meant this seriously. I always understood he meant what his current proposal is.

The fact of the matter is all radical Islamic terrorists are Muslim. Muslims are concentrated in a certain area of the world. Isis and other terror organizations are as well. Stopping immigration from this area would basically be banning Muslims but it sounds better when you say terror torn regions.

Yes there are other religions in this area but let's be honest. Muslims who are so radical to kill in the name of Allah also believe in taquiya. They can lie to further thier agenda in thier minds. So banning immigration from this area was always the right thing. Regardless of religion. Trump isn't PC and he is a negotiator and started his first bid yuge.

Did he mean all Muslims from fricking anywhere? Hell no. That doesn't make sense. Sometimes people are stupid and cannot think beyond the first step.

Which is why it's not a blanket ban (although, I disagree with him...the law clearly allows it).

I'm not talking about the japs. They weren't banned in the 60s and 70s. I am talking about other groups and not necessarily being banned. Trump is not going to ban "Muslims" or any group based on religion. It won't hold up. I know it and you all know it . Now banning people suspected of isis or related to Isis is a different story.

It isn't offensive or unconstitutional.

Non citizens do NOT share the rights of citizens.
We do not have to allow a single immigrant to come to the US.

The Muslim Religion is the Motherlode of bad ideas.
No rational person can support allowing their entry.

So banning Muslims who are citizens is constitutional?

@crack_bass @GovPenceIN He's saying US citizens who are Muslim and out of the country can't re-enter. That is clearly unconstitutional.

Of course not and no one is proposing that.

I agree with you 100%!! Protesting soldiers and spitting on them when returning from war is no way to treat them and very disrespectful. Even back then the liberals were TP'sOS!! You were around back then, yes? Probably so.
