No they aren't. You have your generations mixed up again. Millennials aren't as young as you think they are

Millennials are 39-24 now I believe. Roughly born in 1981-1996.

This is the most delusional bullshite I've ever heard. Of course they want starter homes. They are impossible to find because people with extra money recognize buying them up and renting them out is extremely easy money.

I swear

Liberals will think of some whacky assed shite to explain away shite that conflicts with their make believe.

What part of the country with jobs can you move to to escape people trying to exploit others in the real estate market? Pretending that problems YOU directly cause are fake and telling everyone to just suck it up is how this country is going to get a commie president
Dear Lord.

very soon no matter who is the president because the level of bullshite we have now isn't sustainable.
You can buy a fricking home on a mortgage for under 4%. Woe is you!!!

That dude is a brainwashed idiot. I bet he was raised in a single parent home by his mother with no father in the home. That’s the biggest problem we have as a country. Women raising so many young boys, with no man in the boy’s life to teach him. Then the boy grows up to be a Bernout. You can bet at least 70% of the Bernie boys come from a home where their mother was their father. That’s why so many are pussies, like the dude you’re laughing at.

If you're talking American Psycho, it was Dorsia

But I don't eat at trash haute cuisine places, anyway. Media clients don't want to go to there, either. They'd take 4 Charles or a Carbone any day over a Per Se-type option.

But you knew that. You're an expert it seems.

The inability of baby boomers to adapt to technology (or even adopt it) is so infuriating and makes everyone around them less efficient. I'm 35 and spent at least 20% of my day helping boomers with their email, excel, etc... Most of you guys can't even figure out how to print in landscape and it's mind-numbingly annoying.
I'm 53 and, I'm a fricking Excel master and know shite about MS Word that no more than 2% of all employees I've ever met know.

But yes. What you describe is annoying as frick. I hate when people my age or older act like they can't learn shite that the average 14 year old can learn.

This does seem to be a common complaint among younger people. According to some, the only places in the country with jobs are in the top 10 or 12 metros

Not sure why that matters. I was an 80s latchkey kid. I turned out to be a productive citizen.

If you didn't know , a lot of handout seekers on here were raised by mommy.

Women have no problem asking for handouts so their children learn that.

We even have a handout seeker on here who hates Boomers because his dad was a deadbeat.

I'd love to live in a world where everyone well-off (or even moderately successful) felt compelled out of a sense of moral duty to give away their fair share to help others, but the reality is that most people are fricking selfish. So it won't work if you rely on charity. Never will.

So you dislike personal liberty?

Gotcha. I was raised by only dad which is why my wife says that I'm untrainable.

Well you're the only one I know

Don't get me wrong, the experience in my office from the older folks is unparalleled.

However it boggles my mind how knowledgeable they are, but can't figure out how do a simple formula in excel or attach files to email. That is only rivaled by their unwillingness to learn those things as if it's some skill that takes decades to master.

Who gets to define what fair is?

Because the homeless dude on the corner thinks your salary is a bit much. You should give some of it away.

And they ONLY look at home prices.

Well, let me break it down for their stupid asses. Sure, in 1982, the median home price was about $72K

The average mortgage rate was 13.4%!

That gets your a P&I mortgage of $819! On a fricking 72K home.

That will get you almost a 200K home today! LOL

And before someone comes in with, "but, that's still less than what 72K is worth today...….

in 1982, that median home had 1500 sf. Today, it's over 2100.

People literally have no fricking idea what they're talking about because NONE of the take the time to research it themselves. They think reading what others tell them to think counts as "research"

If he's 53 he isn't technically a boomer I don't believe. I'm a SR IT Solutions Architect but I really don't know excel all that well. Maybe slightly above average. I don't use it for much in my day to day job.

There are jobs everywhere, but you don't have leverage in smaller markets. They expect you to be grateful you get a paycheck. frick that.

I've always been that guy though. When I was a bagger when I was 16, I was annoyed that cashiers made more and were all girls. So, I learned on the sly and, when we got flooded, blammo, suddenly they needed me.

I hate not knowing shite that I see around me that is easily learnable. So, I'm not gonna suddenly learn mechanical engineering. But, I'll be damned if some 25 year old is going to be better at something as simple as spreadsheets than I am.

And, make no mistake. I'm a fricking master. I'm not one of those people who claims "advanced excel" and then you find out they think knowing how to do sums or colors is "advanced"

Im not a boomer. I’m gen X and 49.
And because you can play on your I phone doesn’t mean you know more than a man with 40 years experience. I’m 49 and I realize that there is a lot to learn from a 60 year old that has been in the industry for 40 years. Maybe you should open your eyes and ears and see that there is always something to learn from someone that has been doing it for a lifetime. One day you will grow up.

Federal student loans aren’t passed on to anyone. If you die, your debt is fully forgiven.

I know they're not passed on to a spouse/children etc (they are not required to pay it).

But the estate is required to pay debts before the heirs get anything.

That's why I said the heirs get screwed.

If the debtor has a 100k in a 401k when they croak , that money first goes to pay their debts.
