I don't understand why posters still reply to idiots like Tboy.

I don't know when things were allowed to get this bad. Its safe to assume that the system is 100% rigged, and it doesn't matter who gets elected. A president should have never been allowed to have this much power, so it would matter. Today, he has dictatorial power to manipulate the economy and send troops to war without approval from congress. Democrats were normally the party of the working class. Today, they only represent fringe causes, and nobody represents the populist working class majority, which goes against the entire democratic process.
As soon as a republican president gets elected, Congress flips and will have a democrat majority. As soon as a democrat president gets elected, it flips back and has a republican majority. This way it always stays perfectly divided, and nothing gets done. You would have to be stupid not to wonder if its rigged.
