Then college comes along and you find more people like you than your shitty high school had. You are encouraged again. You are going to change the world with your psychology degree. Yeah, you aren't being invited to the parties, but you like sitting around and playing weird board games. Just like high school, they'll regret it one day.
Then you graduate and its time for you to shine. You quickly figure out that every job that requires your degree has 500 applicants, and your thoughts on the patriarchy that you've written about n your blog named Subliminal that gets 30 hits a month isn't really what the world is looking for.
You go for a job in the media, but the local media wants pretty people and the liberal national media has a line of accomplished psychology majors. You have to get a job at Starbucks to make the rent, but its only part time because you need time for your thoughts.
Then you get on Facebook and see all the people that you went to high school and college with are getting good career-minded jobs, getting married and seemingly doing better than you.
Where are all of your college friends? Doing the same thing as you. Rather than getting off your arse and bettering yourself, you decide to get together in a dark bar with your old friends. The echo chamber results in you feeling like it isn't your fault its the system, so you join a group like Occupy or ANTIFA.
How would you feel?
