I have a feeling Musk already has access to it.
Agreed. My money is on inside men.

Even once the ink dries and Musk owns the company outright, Twitter's entire architecture was a US government/Intel Community operation that was actively working to run counter to the Constitution and violate American citizens' First Amendment rights to free speech.
You really didn't think that Jack Dorsey whipped the website up, did you?
Ditto with Zuckerbot & LifeLog.
You're right, I forgot everything always flows back to a massive conspiracy involving 1000s, if not 100s of 1000s of people.

This is a conspiracy theory but “muh Russians” was the real deal, huh?

How would a private company limiting users as it saw fit be "corrupt" or against the law? Section 230 does not require open access (nor does it distinguish between publisher/platform) and, in fact, provides liability immunity for banning users.
When you testify under oath that examples of censorship brought before congress was the outcome of unbiased algorithms at work and that ends up being untrue.
Section 230 still exists, in part, because of the algorithm lie.

I think the biggest win in all of this might be Musk's promise to make the algorithm public. Total transparency. If it uncovers the blatant corruption I think it will, we might see legislation under a new majority which requires platforms to disclose their algorithms in order to maintain their section 230 protections.
I might reactivate my twitter account once Musk has finalized the deal and everything is out in the open.

He made John Durham a household name.

Tell us that you do not understand the role of DARPA black book projects and their relationship to the current pillars of the big Tech Community without telling us.

The "algorithm" is just a scoring and sorting function, what exactly is it you think you're going to discover?

tell me you know nothing of algorithms without actually telling me
Actually, it's 100% true that if you could see the algorithm you'd have a better chance of gaming it.
You might see that recent follows increases your relevance score, or that repeated replies to the same account in the last week decreases it, etc.
But almost assuredly there are inputs that are generated via ml to measure general concepts such as negativity, argumentativeness, etc. Since they're inputs, they're not included in the algorithm itself.
Models that classify your tweets as negative or "misinformation" or whatever, wouldn't be included in that code.

Musk has to know this, and the potential risks. Brave man to jump in the ring.

How will the NSA/CIA adjust?
