Simple and true answer is that Trump is a criminal, Republicans need to find someone who is not.
Wow, that's easy!

I’m all in on Trump. If ever there was a guy that would come in now a wreck shite, it’s the current Trump. I just don’t see anyone coming in and doing as much to the deep State, and global cabal as Trump.
I see this kind of post all the time. What exactly do you think he would do?
“Going scorched earth” isn’t a serious answer. Show your work. If Trump would ACTUALLY come in and figure out how to take down this bullshite I’d vote for him over Ron in a heartbeat. He just 1) didn’t do anything of real note the first time and 2) doesn’t seem to really have anyone of any value on his side to ACTUALLY get this done.
He can’t just come in and start firing people like the apprentice.

The only thing that makes sense to me is that the cabal sees they have a free pass to lie, cheat, and steal IF Trump is the Republican nominee. They couldn’t get away with it against any other candidate, but it’s all baked in with Trump and they can keep up the dirty tricks as long as he is their formal opponent. They’d have to start from scratch with DeSantis and just wouldn’t have enough time, ammo and buy-in from moderate Americans to concoct this against someone fresh.
So they know this and are throwing these BS indictment at Trump to bait his supporters into “only Trump” status. And it will likely work.
So you're saying it's a safer play for the DC Uniparty and their Bureaucratic State partners to rig another election in 2024, an election that will be scrutinized like no other, and if they pull it off another obviously rigged election, risk mass civil unrest? Seems logical.

No he saying that trump is such damaged goods in the eyes of everyone outside of his base that they can keep up the same business as usual against him. Enough people hate him already and will show up in droves to vote against the guy that they can keep dragging his name though the mud and kill off any hopes of independents who hate Biden but hate Trump more.
That’s how I read it.
That’s how I read it.

My guess is Trump has at least 50-60 million staunch supporters.....that's a lot.

That's it you are buying into this notion he has done something if he had done something he would of cleaned house he would of built a wall what did he do besides spend tax payers money he is no conservative

And how many absolutely loathe him? At least that many.

Exactly what I was thinking. They 'take out' Trump, or at least distract him with legal woes for a good long time, while his supporters alienate themselves from any other GOP candidate.
Not sure why this got so many downvotes. This seems pretty damn spot on. If they can take out the former president and then get his most hardcore supporters to not support the potential replacement in the process that’s about as good as you can hope for when you’re running Joe fricking Biden again.

If this were true, then nobody would waste time and money to run against him in the primary

I wasn’t aware their votes counted for less. We’re not talking about a brave heart style battle here.

That's kind of what I was thinking. As long as Trump is the nominee they could manufacture Biden 100 million votes and people who go "oh well Trump's a criminal so everybody voted against him". Nobody would buy that shite with another nominee

I'm all for assuming innocence, but I'm also holding judgement until after seeing the prosecution's case against him.

said exactly the same thing in another thread.
He is now guaranteed the nomination and Biden is guaranteed the presidency.
And even if they lose they win.....a Trump Presidency will be a lame duck Day 1 and be complete chaos with very little of substance getting done. Trump fatigue will set in and the pendulum likely swings back to the the Dems who will have time to develop a better candidate. He will be obstructed every step of the way and particularly within his own party. The scorched earth drain the swamp Trump is a fantasy.
There is a game of 3D chess being played but not by Trump or the Republicans

Oh sorry, I didn't realize we were still pretending fair elections will decide our government for the first time in years.

You say this but the dude just literally did a town hall on CNN and will probably give an exclusive interview to Maggie Haberman next week. He's insane.
We love him and appreciate him but he self sabotages so often that it's not really worth it
